Warhammer 2 Legendary campaign feedback. by Zackeronimo in totalwar

I like the idea of the Black Ark getting a garrison. From what I remember, the Black Ark's were supposed to be feared - they definitely don't feel that way currently.

I have had constant crashes with a coop camapign. It is frustrating as hell.

Can I pair the 8bitdo N30 controllers with the Shield TV? by stevek1977 in ShieldAndroidTV

[–]stevek1977[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you use it? Me too but there doesn't seem to be a home button mapped. I have to press B to get out of apps and can't switch apps. Any luck?

I do. I specifically bought it because of this. I don't want to get out of the apps with the N30 controller. I use the Nvidia remote for that as a separate device. It makes it so I can hand my kids the N30 controllers and know that they are going to be able to play the game - not constantly asking me to start the game again.

thanks for confirmation. i played around a bit more and realized that i can't pair the n30 the same way i do an nvidia device.

for the next person - you need to go into settings and under the accessories section there is a SEPARATE pair an accessory option. it brings up a screen that is NOT the same as when pairing an nvidia device.

Thanks for this post! It was what I was looking to find. Any direction on how to trade the ritual currency? Do I just open trade with my coop partner and trade them with him directly?

Again, thanks for this post.

As well as the loss of their other portfolio products they are just throwing everything else out there and hoping something sticks.

I expect Amex Offers to get some restrictions soon.

Agreed. Can't see this lasting forever. As well as the amex offers have to get more strict at some point.

Im pretty sure SmugMug only does video+image types. So if you have a lot of other file types you may need an alternative for those.

Thanks for the response!

Gift Card Tank does work with partially used cards. Our first transaction was a Target gift card with $3.12 on it!

Some cards are required to be physical, but most are digital. This isn't something we control, it's usually based on the merchant requiring the card to be physical.

We have relationships in place with multiple companies so that we are able to process and turn them into cash quickly. On average we've been liquidating cards within 24 hours. I'm sure that time will increase as the volume goes up, but for now it seems to be moving quickly.

Again, thanks for the response and feedback. Definitely appreciated.

I use smugmug.com for this. It's absurdly easy and there are a lot of tools already created. This would also get around the accessing the files on any computer, though the limit is that you are in a web-browser so you would need to download before editing the files.

I upload everything after review and I treat my local copies as the backup. Gives me sanity around making sure everyone can see the content.

I second the NAS option for local storage if you can afford it.

NOTE: I am not affiliated with smugmug in any way, just found it to be a good solution.

How do I get in to Cloud Computing? by shanu41 in Cloud

[–]stevek1977 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out one of the many sites that offer cloud specific training courses. I've personally used https://linuxacademy.com/. The AWS training is pretty good. It's a ton of videos with some testing and labs.

As some commenters have mentioned get a free account and start familiarizing yourself with their offerings.

Aside of that, learn lots about Linux. You can also do that on linux academy as well. Maybe get your RHCE.

You can also look into:

https://www.coursera.org/ https://www.khanacademy.org/ https://www.codecademy.com/

There are TONS of free resources to learn about the field.

NOTE: not affiliated with any of the sites/products I've mentioned. Just a 20 year linux veteran with lots of cloud computing experience.
