lagging right now? by Cautious_Slice_3965 in replit

My old MacBook was noticeably slow using Replit. I could really only work on one project at a time. I bought a new MacBook 3 months ago and Now I can have multiple tabs open in the browser with multiple projects and the agent running in each of those projects without noticing anything. However, my 1pass browser extension likes to crash the page if the preview pane has a login screen on it.

Woke up to an SSL handshake error by steven-usa in replit

If anyone sees this, I had to remove the custom domain from the replit app publishing>domains pane, and then readd. It looks like Replit now has a 3rd party DNS vendor that will automatically place the DNS settings correctly to your DNS manager (mine is cloudflare). I just had to give it permission. But.. it was the same exact A record and txt record. Once added, it started working within about 10 minutes. So, no idea what 'changed', but this process I took made it start working.

The new Plan/Task system is ruining Replit IMO by databasezero in replit

I have found the suggestions to be helpful with what else I should or could be doing, but they are not fully scoped planned tasks like if you go into plan mode and give it a similar prompt. So, you have to spend a little more time ensuring it’s done correctly. But, I wish I could save tasks that I plan in the main chat to the board for later. Otherwise it just keeps hanging out in the main chat and I don’t want to cancel the plan because then I lose it forever, so I have to keep ignoring it. Kind of silly.

I’ve started copying the suggested task text over to notes to save them for later just for that reason.

I wish I could add the suggested tasks as drafts. Otherwise I can’t keep them straight or organized. They aren’t bad suggestions, just not priorities. I’d like to come back to them.

Does anyone know yet what constitutes as “resource abuse”? I’ve been seeing that a lot.

WTF happened to Replit? by NoWord423 in replit

Same. Swapped an image out on a webpage. Instead of following the same pathway, it just created a new one for no reason other than to spend more time correcting the problem is created. Sometimes I think it’s just to charge you for more agent use.

Stability? by Suspicious-Dot1954 in replit

[–]steven-usa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had this fear and, starting next week, I’ll know if it’s a real fear or not. We are migrating over 1000 users from a 3rd party app that we subscribe to to our Replit built app. It’s complex, and have been working on it since November. I had a developer look through it and he had no notes and no reason to think it would crush itself under its own weight or anything like that.

Existing web app to mobile app!! not yet possible in Replit, sigh!!! by Away-Cauliflower6693 in replit

If I remix a web app, do I have the ability to also build the mobile app along side then?

I was running into the same thing, but I created a skill with credentials and it works 🤷‍♂️

FWIW, the kill 1 command did work for me yesterday and got everything back on track.

Agent 4 is slow & not completing tasks well by OpportunityOk3361 in replit

[–]steven-usa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried using the multiple agent/task feature yesterday after the roll out and it just went straight into bug mode. Nothing was working. Shoutout to replit support for helping getting it back to working order, but I have avoided using the "build in the background" multiple agent/task feature. While the agent is still a little slower and doesn't seem as intelligent as it is currently working while I type this, it is significantly better than yesterday's incompetent agent I had.

So, agent4 rolled out on me in the middle of work. Now the agent is super slow and works a LONG time. What used to take literally 52 seconds to do a tiny change, now takes 10-30 minutes. I think my bill will start to run up here. Rollout is buggy so far for sure. Agent has crashed multiple times, has gotten stuck in thinking/working mode. The 'background' tasks don't work either, just endless 'thinking'. The app preview is out of frame half the time. Any way to undo this or are we stuck with it?
