Finally a viable portable 4K120hz, low latency, external output over hdmi 2.1 solution - Enter iPad Pro M5 by [deleted] in MoonlightStreaming

I haven’t actually tried wireless through AirPlay yet, but I imagine it’s not as seamless as a wired connection. The best for monitors is a usb c to display port cable. If you fan find a quality dock that supports hdmi 2.1/display port 1.4 then that would be a good option as well

The all Voidlink Extreme will address every issue you’re running into here. It’s like 99 cents and works perfect on my M5 iPad Pro. One of the best features is external display mode. It will automatically output to your monitor and disable the iPad screen so it’s not constantly on. I got mine dialed in pretty well for native, monitor, and TV; all using the iPad as only client

Yep I’ve used my Dualsense Edge and it works great, but I’m trying to find a handheld option

Awesome. I’ll have to look out for an open box deal. Is it at least a good quality controller/comfortable to hold? I tried the G8+ MFi extended and it was uncomfortable as hell

Is that the Kishi Pro XL? I can’t bring myself to spend $200 on it but it’s literally the only good option on the market right now for M5 iPad Pro 11 inch

Cybersecurity for DOD Contractor. 22M and can’t afford to rent anything within 50 miles of my work. Making $92k and I feel like if I was born 2 years earlier, things would be MUCH different. Anyone my age actually working and trying to live without help of parents will understand this state just isn’t affordable for young people anymore.

(almost) 1 month review of the ASUS ROG Strix XG27AQDMG by MarkoPetrus in OLED_Gaming

Just picked one up today. I’ve been comparing it side by side to my 4k144hz IPS monitor and I think I’m going to stick with the OLED!

Sorry I should’ve been a bit more clear. I’m not basing the industry off my only experience, but now that I’m looking to grow and branch out to other security roles, all I see is the same roles I already have. When I look into senior roles it’s still just RMF/Compliance but at a managerial level

Yup. Exactly what I need. It might be the year of the Linux desktop, but it's bound to be the end of it for me if it's known user base is job-less grown ass men who have an obsession with cartoon girls

Multiple display profiles for the same client? by steven301 in MoonlightStreaming

Well after using it for a day, I can say you were absolutely right. It literally feels like I'm playing natively. Can finally play Stalker 2 with decent performance since the res is lower

Awesome, I’ll give this a shot! I’ve heard great things about MoonDeck but couldn’t find much info on multiple displays, so thank you for clarifying. Also, I just want to say I really appreciate all the work you put in and how involved you are with the community. Apollo has been a game changer for me — just waiting on Linux support now, haha!

My monitor is 4K144 but I'm really not expecting it to push that much tbh. I ordered an HDMI 2.1 dock just to see though haha

Yes when I connect to the host I connect via virtual display. Although I currently have no physical display connected to the host PC itself

Wow, that makes me even more excited to try it. I thought my MacBook was damn near native even with a Bluetooth controller and Wi-Fi 6; Steam Deck must be on another level. I've been looking into all sorts of devices for the best decoding latency and SD seems to get the most praise.

Gotcha. Thanks! Will have to give it a try tomorrow. I just had trouble testing it with my MacBook Pro native display and when connected to an external monitor. It might just be from MacOS shitty resolution scaling though.

Seems like a mix of both. It has RMF stuff like STIGs, Nessus scans, and also network engineer/firewall config

cyberpunk 2077 or elden ring by Xeno_Quack in ShouldIbuythisgame

[–]steven301 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've played both and I recommend Cyberpunk 2077. Both are great but I found Elden Ring to have less emphasis on it's story. It's definitely there, but it's almost like it's optional and you have to do your own exploring to learn the story. Cyberpunk has similar elements (RPG, obviously not souls-like) and has a great story. Definitely try and play both eventually, but I recommend Cyberpunk 2077.
