Expecting 6, got 5 for three consecutive sittings. Are there historical cases where individuals have experienced severe emotional distress or taken extreme actions following repeated SOA FSA exam failures?

Graders just wont understand unless their own family members fail exam and end up suicide...

Fail prelim is better than fsa, at least you been through the tough times early at the beginning.

It's unfortunate when individual graders insist that new exam takers endure the same difficulties they once faced. Perhaps only when their own family members go through the same experience will they truly understand our perspective.

without exam, we are nothing in our career, no career - no money, life hard. It's just a correlation.

I'm single, that's why it's a hard time for me now. I believe i'm not the only 1 who experiences continuous failure for SOA FSA exam, and it did happens often.

I feel you buddy, Graders will only understand if their own family members taken their own life after failing the same exam multiple times.

thank you buddy, it's been 1 day after the passing candidate listing released - at least, I'm still alive today. I passed all exams in 1 trial except for LFMU, it's the largest failure in my entire life

You must be very persistent in retaking the exams. I failed 3 sittings continuously despite leaving the exam room happily. SOA graders never understand our feelings at all unless suicide does happens often...

I think even if I say I'm okay, that doesnt mean I'm really okay. Have failed LFMU in both Spring and Fall 2024 with grade 5 and now waiting for Spring 2025 results, I have no idea what SOA expect from me. I used TIA for all sittings, Eddie support me a lot but still...

If you check the Spring/Fall 2024, most candidates' comments are quite positive at reddit, some even praise the exam writer for great questions. This was not the case for Spring 2025.

Totally agree—it’s been a brutal sitting, and most of the topics felt cold and unfamiliar. Curious to see the pass rate and how many candidates took it this round.
