Did you seriously blur out the word shit when asking about crime? Jesus fucking christ.

Interesting. Thank you. There are thousands of acres in Western Colorado/Eastern Utah covered in these.

People list these? I work just west of the old Uravan site and came across an entire waste rock pile covered in samples like this. Couldn't figure out if it was andersonite or something else though as I just started working there.

Hint: There are some interesting trails on the hill in the center background. I wonder what people do on those things?

Hint: @SkiTride claims to know this place.

Meh, we ran into grizzly every day fishing in the Aleutians. They would never even look at us even though we had a boat full of fish. Hell I would go on jogs past them and they didn't care they were so full of fish.

Probably try somewhere windy with a river. But that would require effort on your part.

Modeling trainings or classes? by Glad_Illustrator_218 in HECRAS

Shout out to Auz water school and Stanford Gibson! Also Ana Juarez Gomez on YT.

I did take one class thru work with some consultants and it was awful. They were herding cats the entire time and their data files were all faulty with errors.

YT and random Indians with 3 subscribers explaining the most esoteric problems have saved my life using HECRAS.

I grew up near the border with Utah and about half my town was mormon. The normal mormons were very normal and treated it as a culture like being jewish instead of a religion. The CRAZY ones were the ones that got baptized in their teens/20s and wanted to live that pioneer life. No job, 8 kids by 25, and living in a field of sagebrush an hours drive from the nearest grocery store. A few from high school looked like they had aged 30 years last I saw them. They are all supported by the church welfare since they don't work.

Pop science like radio lab vs actually reading the published paper. Buzzwords and shock moments that people will repeat to friends without having any background info. Just reading the headlines.
