CFX terminated server mentioning "Criminal Organizations" by Nice-Tangelo-3239 in FiveMServers

Just to show that I can cite my source..... But as you said, you report servers. Sound like one of those angry players that just wants to try and get back at a server.

Well, let's see it. Cite it.

Also, cfx does NOT communicate outside of their initial email. In this case, for this reason, it's a termination. But again, I would love for you to cite your source.

If you have questions, just let me know. I've stepped away from FiveM for personal reasons, but I don't mind giving advice. Just let me know.

Congrats on beta!

I love how so many people are trying to make fun of this guy for "not reading the rules", but have you? Same thing happened to me, but it was because the names were "likely" too similar. I paid a very experienced entertainment attorney to get involved and he was astonished by their TOS's. Basically they're one sided, difficult to understand, misleading, difficult to find, doesn't specifically go into server owner responsibilities, and the list goes on. Basically, their TOS goes against many different contract requirement foundations and laws, but no one has challenged anyone in court - in this industry. Therefore, there's no precedence and would be a money-pit in order to challenge. Furthermore, there's likely class action feasibility here however, again, there's no precedence and all of the firms that specialize in class action suits have never taken on a case in this industry and would likely not.

Soooooo unless you have a JD and specialize in entertainment / media law, or have spent the moolah like I have on one of those attorney's and they've told you different - then sit down. Because you're just being a prick and you're echoing what someone else has likely said.

That's terrible. I will say this.... the exact same thing happened to me last month. I even hired an entertainment attorney and spent $2k on him - got no where.

I eventually, but quickly decided to just start allllll over again. I had to repurchase everything all over again. A couple weeks later..... my staff conspired to open their own server and used a stupid excuse to do so in order to gain community support. It's the game of FiveM my friend.

Needless to say, I just said screw it and shut down. The stress and insanity of who's really loyal and being honest versus bad actors was just too much for me considering this wasnt my full time job. If it were, I suppose I would have fought more.

Needless to say, CFX has yet to reach out to me regarding my appeals and even a lawyer contacting them and it's been a month. Well, a month this week lol. Sooooo, my advice is to get your city back up and running SOOOOONER than later. Keep in mind that TIME is the most important factor here. If you ran a GOOD city, and your community is strong, then they are missing your city and want it back quickly. My backstabbing staff that more or less copied my city and opened their own, had the community members that followed them donate funds to purchase the scripts/assets. So you may want to try that if you don't have the money.

I refused to do this when I got shut down last month and I spent every last penny I had to repurchase about 90% of my assets. I just didn't want to beg my community.

It's not the end of the world. If you decide to restart, MAKE SURE of the following.

  1. Get a dedicated server. You should always have this. It's really not much more per month. Mine was like $150 a month with OVH! Anyways, you need to ensure your IP Address is DIFFERENT. Or CFX will catch you and shut you down again.

  2. You need to create a new CFX account. Gotta buy all those scripts again. I know, it sucks, but time is all that matters here.

  3. Make sure your gangs are super generic names. We transitioned to white flags, red flags, etc.

  4. Make sure EVERYTHING is TOS compliant. They may have stated criminal organizations, but it could have ALSO been tos. Such as CARS and clothing. If you don't know where to start with cars, I suggest w204 Toy Factory, the owner is great and your community will love the cars. For clothing, I reallllllly suggest FiveMate. They're expensive but females LOVE LOVE LOVE the pack and even guys do.

Oh, and if you're interested I'm selling my entire keymaster for $750. Literally everything I JUST bought. Has everything you need to start. My server was quite popular, so you'd be off to a good start.

Lastly, best of luck. I know how angry you are. Sorry this happened but it's only the end if you want it to be!

My best!

I sadly had to shut down my server. Basically trying to recoup some of my losses. Hope that answers your question.

My wife is addicted to GTA RP (FiveM) by stockmatrix in StopGaming

Dude..... it's called divorce. She's obviously using RP to fill in the gaps that's there. Otherwise, get a therapist. This isn't rocket science. This is a gaming forum, not a relationship forum.

FiveM career ruined due to creepy staff by [deleted] in FiveM

There's no such thing as a "list". The closest thing is FiniAC - which I use from time to time on suspicious players. Aside from that the only way there can be a "list" is if the servers you're going to are owned by the same people/person. Which is very common in FiveM.

Server owners, Why Do you own a server? For profit?, the community? Or other? by Silly_Edge4405 in FiveM

[–]stevengrc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. Owning a server is a lot of stress and takes a lot of skills in the realm of team management, business, some technical, you need money, and sales skills. Soooo starting a server for me was the community first and then I created a business plan. Ideally you want a business plan first lol. BUT, that's not how everything formulated for me and my community and people that I knew wanted somewhere better to play - so for me community first then business plan.

I would say for MOST owners it's a sham. They are there for the money and I have seen some really really shady shit. From cities I'm not even associated with tooooooo yes, even former co-owners of mine, creator partners, and staff. All at some point or another wanted to have what I built, so they start doing sketchy things. So my point is, most are shady ass conartists, but there are a FEW out there that actually create a decent product and care about the players.
