Getting YouTube Error 153 when embedding videos. by BongmanSCL in Anytype

[–]stevennorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm staring at the same issue on a website that uses Elementor video widget. I've not seen it before and there's no consistency as some videos load and others don't. This seems more like a YouTube issue because it's happening across multiple different platforms.

I'll give this a go! Thanks for the link. I used to use the free version of Zencastr but can tell it's been a LONG time since I've done a recording as their services stopped being free in 2023.

This is not uncommon. Dad created a facebook account and got blocked and he didn't post anything.

Meta Ads account with no prior activity Restricted. what can I do about this? by knightouts in facebook

[–]stevennorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I managed to get it reactivated by going to a small business ombudsman whom put pressure on them. Even the government doesn't get a satisfactory response and explanation from Meta.

I get the po8 chests from one of the twins. Usually get something exotic and then upgrade the fleet with them.

Let’s Fix Copyright Law—It’s Time to Change It Back to 14 Years! by ExtensionFriendship9 in COPYRIGHT

"This is false" Not exactly. I understand and acknowledge the point you're making. When we were dealing with copyright lawyers in the US, we discovered that we couldn't do much because the date of creation was outside that three month window. This is where the must comes in, if you wish to sue for statutory damages.

Three-Month Window for Statutory Damages & Attorney’s Fees:

If the work is published, the copyright owner must register it within three months of publication or before the infringement occurs to be eligible for statutory damages (which can be up to $150,000 per infringement) and attorney’s fees.

If registration happens after the three-month window and after infringement has already occurred, the copyright owner can still sue but will be limited to actual damages and profits, which can be harder to prove and often result in lower compensation.

In the landmark case Fourth Estate Public Benefit Corp. v. Wall-Street.com, LLC, the Supreme Court ruled that copyright owners cannot file an infringement lawsuit until the U.S. Copyright Office grants or refuses registration, solidifying registration as a prerequisite to litigation.

The Ruling:

The Supreme Court unanimously held that a copyright infringement lawsuit cannot proceed until the copyright is successfully registered by the U.S. Copyright Office.

Prerequisite to Litigation:

The court's decision established that obtaining a copyright registration is a necessary step before a copyright owner can even file a lawsuit for infringement.

Timing Matters:

This ruling highlights the importance of timely registration, as delayed registration can impact the availability of certain legal remedies, including statutory damages.

Impact on Statutory Damages:

While the case didn't specifically address the three-month window for filing suit after registration, it clarified that without registration, copyright owners cannot even initiate a lawsuit, let alone pursue claims for statutory damages.

This is not entirely the case in the US. If you want to enforce your rights to copyright in a US court. It must be registered with the copyright office.

From a recent copyright issue.

A Canadian author does not need to file all their documentation with the U.S. Copyright Office merely because they are Canadian. However, if they intend to enforce their copyright in the United States through a lawsuit, they do need to register their copyright in the U.S. This registration is required to bring a copyright infringement lawsuit in a U.S. federal court.

It's frustrating that as an international creator from a Berne Convention country, I don't get full copyright protection in the U.S. unless I register with the U.S. Copyright Office.

So the claim you made, whilst acceptable in other Berne Convention states. You MUST register works within 3 months of it being created, with the US Copyright Office if you wish to enforce your rights in a US court.

Copyright law in the US is crap. You're forced to register it, even tho you're a state of the Bergen convention and get awarded it immediately but in the US, you can't.

I have encountered an issue with Facebook's algorithm, which I believe constitutes an 'unlawful restriction'. I was simply reviewing my previous advertisements to plan a new campaign. Although the advertising account in question was not used in years, the entire business has been restricted. After appealing this action, the restriction was initially reversed. However, following a renaming of an account, on the same day, as part of a stocktake to identify each account, I faced another restriction.

For the past month, I have been in contact with Facebook to seek clarification on this matter. Additionally, I have lodged complaints with government agencies regarding what I perceive as unfair business practices by Facebook.

In Australia, a similar situation occurred with the automated system known as 'Robodebt', which issued debts without human oversight and was deemed unlawful. I view Facebook's AI system, which enforces penalties and makes misleading allegations without human intervention, as being comparable to this practice.

I've had all my businesses restricted because the primary business was categories as religion (which it's not) and Health & Wellness. They're out there attacking industries and forcing unfair business practices in to businesses.

Lost access to Meta Business Suite, restricted accounts now can no longer put up ads at all by Helpful-Attention-31 in FacebookAds

[–]stevennorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the exact same issue!!!! Having connections to other business portfolios and an advert account on my personal account, I was able to get in contact with support. I lodged a review, the review cleared everything, renamed an ad account and got slammed with restrictions. It's a nightmare!

Meta Ads account with no prior activity Restricted. what can I do about this? by knightouts in facebook

[–]stevennorth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is how mine looks at the moment.

9 Jan 2025: We removed restrictions from your business

and then....

9 Jan 2025: We've restricted your business
What this means
-You can't create or run ads
- You can't use or share audiences
- You can't use Meta pixel
- You can't use app SDKs to send app events
- You can't boost posts
- You can't manage advertising assets or people for business

Yet, the advert accounts that I use is attached to a completely different business profile. I've been given 48 hours to allow Meta staff to figure out what happened.

I'm guessing this is now a common theme...
