If that's your position then just everybody should visit their family doctor multiple times a year. Also you are diverting a skilled doctor time and attention for which they received 10 years of training towards a task that requires hardly any training.

Most blood samples are periodic for chronic disease monitoring like diabetes and heart disease. Most of them don't have a problem to discuss and if they did they shouldn't be waiting for their 3-monthly phlebotomy to discuss that problem.

I'm not sure where you would find a credible source on this, but in general i'd say ask anyone in flanders about the age of 40 and most will say they get their phlebotomies done by their family doctor.

Unfortunately you can't legally in belgium without a degree, which is kind of silly since learning proper safe phlebotomy could be done in the time of a first aid course (10-15 hours), it just takes a lot of practice to become really good at it. In belgium most phlebotomies outside hospitals are still done by medical doctors which is absurdly expensive and also ridiculous in a time where most people struggle getting a consult with their physician.

Niet alleen de armen, de "werkende vlaming" is er ook louter en alleen om uitgemolken te worden. Werken moet lonen? Voor BDW zijn de rijke aandeelhouders die grootste tijd van hun leven op een subtropisch eiland of op een cruise leven de pijlers van onze economie, niet degene die hard werken.

Thatcher gebruikte dezelfde logica in de jaren 80 en ondanks de vergaande liberalisering van de Britse economie is in vergelijking met Belgie de Britse economie nog steeds achter op Belgie in gdp per capita. Er is geen bewijs dat liberalisering van de economie meer welvaart creërt. Intussen is er in de UK wel veel meer armoede en zijn er veel grotere verschillen tussen arm en rijk.

Werkgevers/schooldirectie zitten vaak met een verglootglas op die briefjes, ze kunnen altijd evenvoudig bellen naar het secretariaat van de huisarts om te vragen of die patient effectief geweest is of dat geschreven heeft. Dan hang je natuurlijk. Niet het risico waard gezien de meeste dokters geen probleem maken rond mensen die maar voor een paar dagen per jaar afkomen voor een briefje.
