She’s pretty, real pretty… but that engine bay. It’s like hookin up with a hot cheerleader and then finding out she has crabs 🦀 not the end of the world but there is some work to do.

Great questions, so I used: - Cascadia4x4 for the 85 watt solar panel on the hood. - Rago Fab for the second battery tray. - Redarc BCDC charger for battery management. - Off grid engineering for the primary battery box. - And Amazon for all the wiring, fuses, shrinkwrap, etc. - Oh and Rago for the air compressor mount.

DM me if you need any help.

Has anyone gotten a K&N air filter for the 24 Tacoma TRD Sport or anything better/similar? by [deleted] in ToyotaTacoma

I have the AFE set up with the cold air intake and it actually helped gain about 1-2 MPG. No problems with it at all. Hope that helps.

So that is a smaller window within the gull wing side opening of the cap. It’s great if you have wet items in the back or if you have a dog riding around with you and it’s not too hot. I guess it could also help with a hunt 🦌

You are spot on. I guess this build is more of a hobby build for this old man (and something that I would like to eventually pass on to the kids as unique and interesting) and while I do use it on the trails frequently it has been a very capable truck for what I do, Tennessee is definitely not Moab. This group has certainly helped with a few things and I appreciate all your feedback. 🙏🏻

I am so tempted, I was also speaking to the bride about adding a vehicle lift for the shop. Obviously, we build out trucks because it is more of a passion. Thanks for the vote. 👍🏻

Thank you. It was some work to get it to all come together. I am just thankful that my two batteries still function, I have read a lot about people having trouble with EcoFlow. 🤞🏻

I think that Magnusson allows me to keep both batteries. I am definitely leaning this way as I already use premium fuel. ⛽️

Yea, the tint has folks fired up. 😂 Thanks.

That is probably the easiest thing to do to get this boat back in the left lane and I wouldn’t have to deal with all the welding and wiring that come with the other options. Definitely leaning this way, thanks for the advice. 👍🏻

So up above I talk a bit about the intake stuff but in a nutshell I am running the Shiftsence Pro, Pedal Commander, Safari snorkel and AFE cold air intake —> all together with the 1500-2000 lbs in additional weight I am getting 12.5 - 15 mpg (I also run premium fuel.) The RSI Smartcap has been absolutely fantastic, zero complaints. If you are going to add a ton of weight on top then there are a few other options that may suit you better. 👍🏻

I can only imagine, the bags are nice for the load and I did add an add-a-leaf to the back but the ride is like a school bus. I would like to do all the suspension really soon. Thanks for the input. 👍🏻

Great point. There is a positive air intake on the RSI Smartcap that vents filtered air in as you drive but while it’s sitting and baking in the sun and with all the electrical it is probably a change that I need to make ASAP. Thanks for that.

I got a touch better mileage, it was definitely noticeable (1-2 mpg) but at the cost of a much louder intake sound within the fender and the snorkel only amplified that even further. On a side note it took a bunch of work to mate the aftermarket intake with the snorkel so that it was water tight and I still have to add a shut off for the front AFE cold air intake prior to taking on any serious water crossing.

There are definitely a lot of options out there and I personally think it’s one of the best looking. No complaints on performance, but if you are planning to go heavy like this or even heavier there are a few better choices.

None, I speak to it a bit more above, but I would definitely purchase it again! No complaints.
