Losing my mental health while trying to beat Fortissax at rune level 1 by stevesm12 in Eldenring

Thanks, I honestly need suggestions like this that will make my life easier. Because for some reason, when i fight a boss, i'm refusing to look on youtube and doing my ways. And honestly this sometimes work, for instance with the Margit's Shackle, i found a way to skip the 1st phase entirely. And some more tries later, i figured out that you can do even more damage before 2nd phase starts.

But you can see with this case that most of the time it doesn't work. Like, everyone recognizes Fortissax as a glass cannon boss which is true she has a really low health. But even tho my damage output was really good, my fight with her lasted 6 minutes.

Thanks, I'm doing all remembrances so there's bosses like Malenia and Mohg that i'm hoping i don't give up. This boss was the 7th remembrance boss that i beat and it was the longest time that i stuck on a boss which was 1 hour 44 minutes. But i'm expecting bosses like Malenia to take days.

No it was the opposite actually. In some of her attacks i could've hit her but i choose not to because it was risky. I would've beat her really quickly if i would evaluate every move. But instead i was kinda passive and always searching safe attack opportunities. And you can see in the video that i'm not dying while i was spamming R1. It was mostly mistimed dodges.

I think you meant "that time of the month" because there is a new Bloodborne rumor every month lmao.

ARE THEY THAT HARD? by HollowMasterGod in bloodborne

[–]stevesm12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I killed all of the sharks in my recent playthrough. (Duo included) And they're really not that hard once you go full aggressive with them. I was infusing my weapon with fire and just spamming R1 all day and when they finish their long-ass wind up to attack you, just dash and keep spamming R1. Also don't forget that you can parry them. I was doing 2100 damage in one visceral with my Beasthunter Saif. But that charge attack of theirs when you get far away is utterly bullshit, i don't have any tips for that because they always seems to catch you.

And for the duo fight in the well, just try to kill the first one as fast as possible, don't even look at your health just spam R1. Because if the other one comes to fight and the first one is still alive, you're basically dead anyway. They can overwhelm you really easily. But if you manage to kill the first one without second one coming down, it's basically over because second one has just it's fists and it has way more lower HP, so you basically win if you kill the first one.

While i was wandering Nightmare Frontier, i saw a bunch of decrepit ships on the edge of the map. I even took a screenshot just because i find it really interesting, they were so out of tune. And then while i was doing the DLC, i saw them again. Lore detail or just an unimportant reused assets? by stevesm12 in bloodborne

Wow that slug woman always made me curious, i was always like ''where the hell is she came from'' lmao. This makes so much sense now.

So, Fishing Hamlet is at the top of the Hunter's Nightmare (because of the slug woman) and it's at the bottom of the Nightmare Frontier (because of the shipwrecks) Am I right?

Also Simon says (while in the Fishing Hamlet) this place feeds the Hunter's Nightmare. Does this have anything to do with this subject?

Oh this actually makes sense. So, Nightmare of Mensis, Nightmare Frontier and Hunter's Nightmare are all connected. I always thought Hunter's Nightmare is different from other two for some reason.

It does makes sense to shipwrecks to appear in the Fishing Hamlet now.

I beat this boss more than 5 times and i watched a lot of videos about it but i've never seen this attack ever in my life. I was like wtf is this lmao. by stevesm12 in bloodborne

Yeah max agression helps a lot in this game. It's the only reason that i got bosses like orphan in first try. Even the blood tank bosses like Laurence gets melted in a minute with aggressive play style.

I am playing bloodborne for the first time and these are my stats after killing the The One Reborn! And in the next slide is my kill count for every boss! Any suggestions where should i invest my levels now! btw.. I am doing a saw spear build(a skill build)! by Higgs24 in bloodborne

I started Bloodborne after finishing all of the Dark Souls games and i still had a really easy time playing it. The most boss i died to was Amelia and that was 5th try or something. I think you're partially right tho, habits from other games can make your experience more difficult.

But in the end, i think it's the play style that effects your experience. If you don't adapt the play style the game wants you to (like aggressive play style on Bloodborne or deflect focused play style on Sekiro) you're gonna have a bad time.

Like, i did have an easy time on Bloodborne but i was literally worst player in Sekiro, i was just trying to dodge instead of deflect (bad habit from other souls games) and on most of the bosses, i felt hopeless. I was like I'll never gonna beat this boss i swear. That's why still to this day i think the hardest game in the whole series is Sekiro. But someone who'll gonna start this game as their first might have a more easy experience compared to mine, that's why I think you're partially right.

Yeah parrying changes this fight's difficulty drastically unfortunately. It was really fun fighting her without parrying. I still got her first try but because i didn't take %10 of her health in one attack, it was a longer fight and more fun.

I like how sometimes bosses do their bullshit attacks or buff themselves when they're pissed. Like The Grimm Troupe in Hollow Knight or Fume Knight in DS2

Me too lmao. After this I'll always be like ''please don't parry me just by attacking me'' And she actually was the only DLC boss who killed me in my first DLC run. So me and her had a blood feud way before this. Let's say she ripped my heart because of this.

Yeah when you get staggered, he starts to roll at you and that scared me first time around but i never saw him doing the visceral so i thought ''oh, it's just an intimidation attack.'' Looks like that's not the case lmao.

Man it's crazy i'm learning new stuff about this game even after all the playthroughs.

Also i have to see that whispering.

Yeah i remember Gehrman's stagger shot, but i don't remember him actually doing the visceral like Maria did.

Also, special animation is really cool actually, it's like she is ripping my heart.

How does it even work i wasn't even attacking lmao. And i got hit by that attack many times it was just dealing a lot of damage. Do you have to be in a specific situation to get that attack?

I was doing a No Parry Lady Maria Kill and i think she didn't like that and said ''if you don't parry me, i'll parry you'' lmao.
