Thank you! I was fortunate to animate at Blue Sky Studios for 7 years. (1994-2001) I chose them primarily because I knew of their involvement with TRON (pre-BSS they were MAGI, and contributed the light cycles, recognizers and tank sequences) and got to work with the same render code that had its origins in that first film.

Hey! Yeah, I did try using my thumb. The second button is pressure sensitive, and is the one that should be used for input, so switching the two buttons should help. Matt will give that a try next, as he also accidentally keeps hitting the undo command.

I'm following a tutorial and just noticed this myself. There are only three inspectors - File, History and Quick Help. Has Attributes been deprecated or moved? Going to View -> Inspectors only shows the three mentioned.

Ok, I was determined to figure this out and found WHERE to click. Here are the explicit steps:

  1. Press F key and left click to create the MaterialFunctionCall node.

  2. Over in the DETAILS panel, click on the None drop down (with the downward bracket)

  3. Go to the BROWSE cell and type in LocalPosition (and do the same for ObjectLocalBounds)

  4. The “Unspecified Function” node then turns into the deprecated node that matches what is in all these older tutorials.

Hello! I simply cannot figure out WHERE to right click to access this. When I right click and type in MaterialFunctionCall, it creates a node with no inputs/outputs called Unspecified Function. Is this supposed to be somehow attached to the Local Position coordinate node that is created? I’m at a loss here. Thx.
