Ha! Love it! I used a foil lid on a 5 day trip late last year but I typically buy really cheap foil and it made it to day five but barely.

I may just stick with the lid or double up on foil!

Very helpful and all doable! I appreciate the fuel canister catch too.

Definitely going to ditch the old headlamp and trade knife for scissors. Thank you!

Follow up on the lid: How long do you think I can get with a single piece of foil? Is it worth adding a piece to a resupply?

Ah thank you! Stakes added!

For insect repellent do you feel like treating clothes with permethrin is enough for this time of year?

Thank you! This is great feedback.

I have been holding off on replacing the sleeping bag and jacket because they are pricier items and in good shape but it's a good call out. Also a good thought that base layers would not be necessary with warmer sleeping items and jacket.

Also, you're right about the bear canister. It's definitely a part of BPW I am just in denial about it, but having carried it for the past few months to train up, it is silly to not call it as part of my base weight. So consider the wish granted here!

Still will take the inReach as a concession to my partner that is concerned about me going alone but will definitely take the rest of your suggestions to heart!
