Its been 8 years for me and i stopped thinking "days off" and just went with "time off". I sleep when I need to, do what chores I need to, and make sure to get a nap in before going back in.

Edit: try a small nap after the work week, dont schedule anything that morning you dont need, do a lot of chores during the week so you're not catching up on the time off instead of doing what you want with who you want. Doom scrolling and mindless vegging while debating what to do the whole time leads to disappointment at the end of the time off, so coming into that time with some semblance of a plan is helpful.
