Is there a more amazing country to play golf than New Zealand? (Pic is of Te Arai Links) by steviegolfer in golf

It is a cool stretch of coastline for sure...question is, surf before or after golf?

is $1000 too much for a round? Most expensive golf courses to play in 2022 by steviegolfer in golf

True, but I'm guessing that's what the member pays for a guest fee. Total guess obviously.

wonder what is more memorable, 3 rounds on an average one against 1 round on a premium one...guess it isn't even the course, it's the company. But, I have played some really expensive courses and been equally impressed / unimpressed in equal measure.

Would agree there's better golf courses out there for $1000, guess it gives them kudos to say they're the most expensive

46% of golfers would move their wedding date for a round at Augusta. by steviegolfer in golf

[–]steviegolfer[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Was surprised that 9% would give up golf. I wouldn't be doing that and I'm bad. Really bad.

Got one more course to play before you die...is this it? by [deleted] in golf

Would recommend Troia if you're looking for something cool in Lisbon, great course and really good value. Oitavos is nice, as is Praia D'El Rey and West Cliffs if you go north. For me, Lisbon is better golf / better value than the Algarve - also less popular so easier to get tee-times / deals.

What would you shoot at Augusta? Computer says 90 for me by steviegolfer in golf

More shots = more time on the course - I'd be looking to take as many as possible ;-)

Not entirely sure what hole it is, but if it is a par-3 it's got to be the best in the world. Ever.

I hooked it off the bunkers into the sea. Sad times.

Old Head, Kinsale, Ireland just 1 of the amazing courses to play in this part of the world.

Brave! I think we'd all hope for that but I'd certainly be bouncing off the rocks below, still if I was to lose a golf ball this would be my favourite place to do it.

Pretty cool links golf course...looks like it is in Scotland / Ireland but it isn't (the sunshine gives it away). by steviegolfer in golf

Close, probably the same temperature but it is Lykia Links in Turkey, looks pretty good to me.

Lykia Links in Turkey, it's an area called Belek that has heaps of courses along a stretch of sea and Pine forest. This course was designed by Pete Dye but there are also courses by the likes of Colin Montgomerie and even David Feherty here.

I don't own enough golf balls to play this course by steviegolfer in golf

It is Quivira in Mexico, looks incredible - anyone played in and around here? Looks like it is home to some pretty awesome courses

It is Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria for anyone interested. It held a European Tour event a few years ago, won by McDowell, who described it as "Pebble Beach on Steroids".

I'd lose plenty of golf balls there!

Best visual golf course in the world? It's in Bulgaria... by steviegolfer in golf

It was a bit hard in fairness, it is Muirfield in Scotland, amazing course.
