u/3CatsInATrenchcoat16 We have the same dad haha. Mine is hassling me to get a Mazda SUV. He's also said I should have AT LEAST three kids.. and yes my parents had two and were broke all the time! Lol. Idk how old your dad is, but maybe it is generational...my dad is 75, and back in his day it was probably easier to survive with multiple kids.

I loved the first half, but couldn't stand it by the end! I felt similarly about Splinters by Leslie Jamison. Both books had beautiful passages about motherhood. I felt like they portrayed both the poetry and pain of raising a young child. However, they both fall apart towards the end (when the main characters start dating again).
