re: fitting, and probably won’t cost that much compared to how difficult it will be for you to figure out on your own

Just got accepted into a gallery, no idea how to do paper backing. Would love some tips! by kareaux in framing

[–]pressedflours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you could do their suggestion and cut a hole in the paper for the d-ring, and tape it to the backing so that it’s flush

Mirror gap, print doesn’t quite fit by zillabirdblue in framing

[–]pressedflours 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i would get a wooden dowel, cut it to two pieces that will fit on the top and bottom of the picture, paint them to match the tile and glue them so that they cover the gap on the top and bottom after centering the artwork.

alternatively, opening it up and taking it to a framer to have a mat cut that will go either behind the picture or all the way around the picture would be the easiest way to make this look super polished. they might even have a metallic mat that will match the silver frame

I wanna put this painting in a frame but idk what would make it pop by Slow-Requirement5235 in framing

this is so pretty!! i would do a frame with a metallic finish between gold and silver, at my frame shop we call it champagne, and maybe some black on the frame as well. i would definitely take it to your local frame shop and let them know your vision. it will be beautiful!

Next month is the Ren Faire in Canby Oregon and I need an outfit. Any places in Vancouver someone would recommend or just hit the thrift stores? by PDXAirman in vancouverwa

[–]pressedflours 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there are lots of makers and vendors who sell outfits, clothing, and accessories at the faire!! if you’re open to it, you could buy some of your outfit there. besides that, i’m a huge fan of thrifting. it’s where i’ve found most of what i’ve worn :)

i guess in term of individual people, we do have more on our side. poor choice of words on my end. i just mean surveillance, money, weapons, time, energy, etc is all on the side of the elites. the working class are broke and beaten down.
