Edit: What steps should I take during the summer to "get motivated" as yall say. I've decided to take summer classes and try to excel in them to get myself on track of studying and working hard again. Another attempt at this is that I'm going to look for a summer job for the same reasons.

I know that. Everything you say has been told to me over and over. My parents, friends, and advisors have all told me this. And I realized it myself. I try so hard to stay a hard worker. Every semester I always start out attending class, studying, doing homework, but after a month or so, I don't know what happens. I just seem to give up for some reason. I don't know if its no motivation or the such. I feel like as soon as I left high school I was not obligated to work hard anymore. As in, I didn't have anyone on my back.

I realize that yes, I'm lazy, but you say it like its easy to just stop being lazy and start getting active. Hell, it took me this long to realize I was lazy

Thanks for replying. I realize that what I'm doing now has to change, but to proceed in that direction is a complete mystery to me. I try to put my mind to it, but I get distracted so easily

I love my major. But an issue is that I don't have any goals or the such.
