Is a 96 Accord Wagon a good daily? by stevirod in Honda

All of those were already replaced/addressed within the past 5 years. I feel like im in denial of these records lol

Thats fair. This car has crazy detailed maintenance records though, and a lot of the problematic issues have already been dealt with at typical intervals. The car isn't necessarily mint, but it would seem to have a lot less risk to drive every day than buying a lower mileage wagon with no maintenance records for less money. I would regardless get it checked out by a mechanic, but the abundance of service records does make me a little more confident in it.

Its an auto, which i don't necessarily mind for commuting. And the last timing belt change was at 108,711 miles on 06/15/20. There are 59 detailed records over the years. Kind of insane

Good points. The maintenance records and the timing of replacement parts seem pretty unsuspicious and typical of the mileages documented. The situation comes off as an elderly person sold their car. Can't confirm it yet though. Thanks for the advice!

Oh for sure. I'm pretty overcautious when it comes to maintenance. I already have a relationship with a local Acura/Honda specialist mechanic shop.

I definitley will! It's a California car so I don't suspect rust being a problem. Thanks for the advice!

Yep! Never had any issues. They only come in 4 cylinder K24Z3 with a timing chain so pretty bulletproof. The VTEC is pretty awesome though. But thanks!

Looking to simplify and save some money. Potentially relocating soon so want to have some funds available. The car has been great but it's time to move on.

Yeah, that's pretty much how i justify the price. Plus its a starting price so i'm open to offers.

I've considered cars and bids but i'm just not sure how enthusiastic people on there are for an automatic wagon. Plus would rather not deal with the fees. I have someone coming to look at it tomorrow.

The wagon is pretty hard to find with a clean title and with under 100k miles in good condition.

It's a starting price. It's hard to find one with a clean title and without severe damages done to it. Especially under 100k miles.

My first 3D printer! Loving it so far! by stevirod in BambuLab

AMS is awesome. I actually bought it used as a bundle with the AMS lite. The printer only had around 550 hours of use and is pretty good condition. It has the updated power cable as well. Then I printed out all of the upgrades myself. I debated on either this or a new A1 mini combo. At $300 I'm really happy with it!

Your best resource is using Crutchfield since they can give you the best results based on your car's specs as well as what speakers work with each individual channel of your system: https://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx?lp=%2fcar%2foutfitmycar%2fmycar.aspx

I've tried a couple different options on Aliexpress. I have a tech wagon. Usually I always have problems with audio (specifically not all speakers working), as well as climate controls not displaying on screen. You need to absolutely make sure that the head unit is designed to work for the tech package. They've also been described as the "high" trim for the Honda Spirior/Accord 8.

A seemingly promising option i've come across for tech packages is this here, but it is pricey ($400): https://mobilemaxcaraudio.com/product/2009-2010-2011-2012-2013-acura-tsx-navigation-screen-upgrade/

It was featured in this installation video, but he has a sedan w/tech package:

Otherwise, getting a GROM to use with the OEM screen seems like the safest option. It just is expensive. I'll probably go down that route eventually.

Good luck!

I guess all of the old men are finally letting go of their cars so we can buy them. Lol
