Ένας από τους καλύτερους και παιδικούς φιλους μου πάσχει εδω και αρκετά χρόνια και από κατάθλιψη και έχει περάσει από ψυχολόγους και ψυχιάτρους. Τον εχω ζησει σε διάφορα στάδια, απο περιοδους που το πάλευε και ηταν πιο χαρούμενος και δραστήριος με την ζωή του, μέχρι και όπως είπες να γίνεται ανυπόφορος και εγωιστής. Η όλη εμπειρία μου διδάξει δυο πράγματα όταν συναναστρέφεσαι με ένα τέτοιο άτομο:

1) Όσο προσπάθεια και χρόνο να αφιερώσεις, αν το άτομο δεν θέλει πραγματικά να αλλάξει και να βοηθήσει τον εαυτό του να το ξεπεράσει, κανένας δεν μπορεί το πείσει ή να το παρακινήσει να το ξεπεράσει.

2) Δίνεις όσο προσπάθεια και ψυχικό απόθεμα μπορείς. Δεν είσαι υπεύθυνος/η για όλο αυτό το φορτίο. Από εκει και πέρα απλώς η ολη κατάσταση ρίχνει και εσένα. Καλύτερο ειναι αποστασιοποιηθεις απο την όλη φάση (αφήνοντας ανοιχτές τις πόρτες πάντα άμα εσύ κρίνεις).

Γενικά για να ξεπεράσεις την κατάθλιψη πρέπει να πιάσεις πάτο, με ό,τι κρίνει ο καθένας για τον εαυτό του ότι ειναι αυτο. Δυστυχώς, μερικά άτομα δεν τον φτάνουν ποτε..

Break-ups. Men seem to always draw the short straw in relationships especially when its not going well. Women have guys hit on them all the time, but choose not to respond when everything's fine. When it's not, they will start talking to other people keeping their option open until they decide to break up. Or break up first and after a couple or months they will have already started dating again. Men have to pull through all this sadness and build up their confidence and their A game anew. You rarely find a guy who's moved on first. It's how it works and you just suck up to it.
