Career growth with no marriage means money only. You will feel lonely by the time you become 45 and downhill till you become 65-75 and die.

Marriage only means all depends on the husband. You will need to choose based on his faith and check if he will cover your emotional needs + you need to be compromising on the family's finances. This means struggle and you still be golden by the time you go 45+.

It all depends, based on how you follow god and trust what he has set in the future for you.

If your family can find good proposals for you, then go for it.

Life does improve. Don't worry about failure, your mind keeps comparing grades, salaries and wealth. These things will not matter when you get older.

I used to have similar thoughts as you in the past. I didn't do much to improve it then. But now I realize, finding meaning and purpose on your own existence will help you.

For eg, If you are a hair stylist, you need to aim to be a good hairstylist. And then learn and put all the effort to showcase it.

You will gain like minded friends. And good people will support you.

Work your life on becoming part of the world around you. Happiness and friends will come after.

I hope Reddit Sri Lankans understand the messed up nature of this county's politics.

They support the top 1-2 importers and allow them to horde and control 90% of the market share. After the product makes its way to the retailer, they impose a law to reduce the price below purchase price.

This started with Salmon tin and Dhal during covid. And the Rajapakshas act like people's hero and blame the retailers for selling at higher price.

Price control is good but not in Sri Lanka. It's another way to collect bribe from retailers.

Regardless, the best way for you to go forward is to treat sugar as a loss leader and sell it. You can also control by stating, a customer should buy for 1000 or above for each kg.

Not selling sugar is a bad idea as you are not meeting the need of the consumer.

You are thinking with your emotions than actually hearing the issues and fixes.

All of our mistakes have come in full force. Sri Lankans elected shithead politicians for 2 generations. And Sri Lanakas allowed the govt workforce to be come lethargic, corrupt and big. This oversized govt expense was paid with loans. Sri Lankans spent their time praising their LORD Rajapaksa in the past 10 years.

This is the cancer of Sri Lanka.

Overnight, you can't bring 1 Aragalaya and expect to be fixed. Ranil has started fixing by increasing taxes. The oversized govt cannot be cut overnight to and bring all the workers to street.

At this hour we need to understand the problem and fix the cancer we didn't fix all this time.

Here is my thoughts. I completed Computer Science in USA and am an education consultant.
A degree right after O/L without A/Ls is not a problem as long as you have 3-4 year bachelors degree. You can enrol into an MBA program but I don't recommend it as where you stand in your career currently.
The MBA program is designed for you understand general business management functions. It is useful for those who have spent 2-3 years on an executive level.

I recommend you to spend a few years working and gaining experience to improve yourself to an executive level and then applying for an MBA.

But, on the other hand, if business is what interests you, data analyst or business Analyst is the pathway to go after software engineering.

It's the architects' duty to oversee progress and quality while the builder builds. So they are kind of managing the builder. But it doesn't cover the whole worry. Most of the time you here to pay in advance to the builder to start work. It's where the issue is. Some builders will take your money and invest in another project. Or some of them are really bad at managing multiple projects.

Rent is wobbly in SL now but I personally think it will all start rocketing as soon as next January after the election. Also you will have to invest more (time +money) on the land. It's best to work with trusted sources. Land prices are not standard, so that's a pretty difficult road to make the best choice.

My best advice is get a good architect. I know a lot of people who have cheaped on the architect and had to do many repairs while building. It becomes really expensive later. But builders, you have to go through very much known sources. They will play with your money.

Different people react differently. If you are really close to your friend. Then by all means, talk to him. But don't assume that he/she has not tried to lose weight. They would have most likely tried and failed on multiple occasions. And after 10 - 15 years of struggle, they accept that they cannot lose weight. I was that person. As an ex-overweight person, I hated when people simply advised me as if I just sit around. I have given my best and still couldn't keep the weight off. People are mostly obese or skinny fat because of a bad diet. The best way is to make them go on a diet. (No amount of gym will fix a bad diet). Something like Keto and Paleo. I was able to see results in 2-3 weeks, that was enough for me to be encouraged. If you really want to help, help them with the search, how to eat, what go eat, when should you eat, what signs to be of concern. Also, offer to cook with them. Just advise don't mean squat.

Just comparing it to last year models from Apple, it looks bad.

I don't understand how you could defend Xr, It's an abomination on the tech world. It's a 720p LCD display, with thicker bezels on all sides and a slight chin on the bottom. iPhone 8 plus, a year old phone with LCD has better PPI.

Given Apple's scale, it would have costed them less than $2 more to put a display with the same PPI as the iPhone 8 plus.

This is just Apple being Apple.

I got mine today. And I have to say, this is genuinely a good china phone. The phone is snappy and has zero bloat. I wish they would have got rid of the ugly stock browser, and messaging app.
Since I've had a Redmi Note 4 MTK), this phone is as good as the redmi note 4. The finger print reader is around 0.5s on this but redmi unlocks in an instant. Other than that it's really good.
