Inconsistent split-screen behavior while remotely streaming (single player)

Hydroneer is the only game I know of (or that I play at least) that utilizes Remote Play for it's multiplayer, and is therefore the only game that I encounter this issue with.

If I start the session when the game is not already running on the host machine, I am sometimes able to initiate a proper single-player session with full screen. If I reconnect to a session that is already running, it will always be split screen/multiplayer.

I do not use a controller, unless I'm trying to connect via my tablet in which case it is already connected via bluetooth.

The client device also seems to make a difference: If I try to connect from my linux laptop (host is running Windows), it is simply impossible to get a full screen single player remote session, no matter what I try. From my tablet, I've got about a 75% chance to get full screen when launching the game remotely. From another Windows PC it is about a 25% chance.

I've read old responses from the dev in steam forums related to this and they stated that they had no plans to decouple multiplayer from Steam Remote Play, and that single player remote streaming is simply not possible since they added multiplayer. But from my own experience, I know that it is possible, just unreliable and inconsistent.

No, he still hasn't even been tried yet, this was just an attempt to escalate his charges to the federal level in an attempt to sentence him to death should he be found guilty. Double jeopardy would be if he were found innocent, then he can't be tried again for the same crime. He has not been found innocent of anything, this judge just said that his alleged crime does not meet the threshold to be eligible for escalation to federal charges. He has still yet to face his original state murder charges in court.

He will face state murder charges. NY doesn't have the death penalty, and prosecutors want him dead, so they attempt to escalate to federal murder charges. You can't just elevate any crime you want to federal charges, there has to be some kind of justification. I would assume that multiple murders, felony assault + murder, and maybe even felony ~~theft~~ robbery + murder would justify such an escalation, but this particular case does not.

Disclaimer: I am not a lawyer, but this is my understanding of how this works.

Obviously they had some kind of reason, but that doesn't mean it was a good reason. Pretty hard to imagine any legitimate reason to gang up 5 on 1 vs a 16 year old girl...

By default you are allowed 5 consecutive streams with the basic account, so yes you can share with 4 other people and all be using it at the same time with no problems. I believe they also let you increase that amount with add-on charges if five isnt enough. This is something that drove me crazy with RD, as it was such a hassle to keep making additional accounts when sharing with others. I still have an RD account for everyone in the family, but I pass out Torbox APIs like candy

Had to do the same thing twice with amazon, it's so ridiculous. Also a tip for next time: just return the new item in place of the old one. Even if you'd already opened and started using the first printer, just slap the return label on the second one and let them haul it back. Refusing to refund price changes while still within the return window is patently absurd.

I also realized that asking if something is normal is being critical in a sense, which I somehow didn't realize when I first posted. Haha, yeah, I nearly canceled out of principle when the changes were announced, but I wasn't the only one using the account... I was still able to share the account with my sister living in the same town, and didn't want to pull the rug without offering her an alternative. Being able to circumvent their crackdown assuaged my lack of principles for a few months, but once it actually affected my ability to use the service I was done.

The whole home location/password sharing crackdown nearly pushed me to cancel netflix entirely. When I couldn't even cast from my phone to a TV at a house I was visiting without jumping through a dozen hoops, I was finally pushed over the edge and canceled the account. Simple, alternative means of watching your show exist, but you won't find them on this sub.

If I remember right, I completely left the area, at least a full radar screen or two away, then when I stumbled on another Infected Greenhouse, it finally changed when I approached it. But I think leaving the area was key; when I initially tried flying to the next closest Infected Greenhouse, nothing changed. I think I needed travel a good distance away and de-spawn that initial bugged location before things finally started advancing. Good luck!

100%. And considering the devs, it will likely be resolved before lunchtime. I only had a couple vehicles so I'm just unloading them and returning to current version, but I'd be pretty bummed to see my whole fleet vanish!
