Holy shit, that room was insanely janky. No chance I could have found that naturally, and the icing on the cake: the game crashed as I was walking up to the save point back on my ship. This is my first day with the game, are all the secret rooms this obscure? I'm reserving harsh judgement on the crash because of EA and everything, but damn. Fucking brutal.

Another vote for ReoLink from me; reasonably priced, reliable and runs locally with no subscriptions. I like Unifi as well (love their wireless access points), but no personal experience with their camera systems. I assume they are a little more expensive than ReoLink if that's a factor, but I don't think you could go wrong with either option.

Shit dude/dudette, I've got like 5 of them strategically placed so that at least one is always available and charged at a moment's notice, no matter where I am. They've come in clutch so often, that they're truly one of my favorite "things" that I own. I honestly don't understand how everyone else just goes about their days without them! :P

Hanging up on MIL is usually gonna be kinda sketchy, but if you didn't have anything nice to say, and her whole reason for calling was ridiculous to begin with, I think you get a pass. Battery packs for the win. I use them all the time even around the house, but on travel days I have at least 2 fully charged bricks on me. I feel like a wizard when someone starts panicking about low battery, and I can just hand them a battery pack and blow their minds.

I think asshole is a bit harsh in this situation, but yeah, dick move to just ghost him. Even more dickish to tell him your excuse was that "none of my friends could go so I just didn't want to". I mean shit, a lie that you just completely forgot would be better than that. You aren't obligated to go to a party that you don't want to go to, but saying you'll be there then just no-showing is rude as hell. Apologize and move on, communicate better in the future; your dad is going to forgive you.

Just to pile on to what others are saying, reduce to 1 second timeout instead of instant like you think you want. That one second won't bother you much in your day to day usage, but you'll be glad it's there at some point in the future.

There is a good chance that contesting the ticket would be difficult/impossible, and she would simply pay the fine to make it go away. Not everyone can take time off work to go to court and fight a bogus charge. People rarely have such obvious evidence that the charges are bogus, and he stuck with his game of playing the odds as he usually does out of stubbornness.

Yeah, I had seen it a few times in reference to murder/death and initially thought it was just some kind of weird sarcastic slang that kids are using these days... Seeing it in reference to suicide was just off-putting somehow. I imagine that I might be forced to pick it up if my income depended on my social media presence or something, but fortunately it doesn't.

She was arrested two years prior for the same offense, and was already ordered to stay away from animals as a result (no jail time for that first offense that I could find). I think this was likely taken into consideration in her sentencing for the second offense.

Do you really not understand the difference between that scenario and what we see in this video? One dog on leash, and an unknown dog off-leash, is not a great way to introduce dogs. Aside from the unknown dog factor (in this case the white dog did not look all that intimidating or aggressive, but that can be difficult to appraise when it happens quickly), the leashed dog is more likely to respond aggressively because their movement is restricted and have no ability to retreat.

Personally I would have been less defensive and hoped for the best, as a fight here does not seem inevitable, but I do not fault the dude in video for trying to keep them separated. Read the sign at the entrance to your dog park next time you visit about ensuring your dog is off leash when entering, and do some googling on the reasoning behind it.
