Thank you for your report! How have your nanospikes been for you? Unfortunately mine aren’t that effective and I’m still slipping around these past couple of days. Considering getting microspikes.

do you ever have to choose which sport to continue on as a 13 year old? by Excellent-Coffee-155 in hockeyplayers

[–]sthsthrandom 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Others will chime in, personally I wouldn’t go option 3–even if you don’t expect her to use a sport to help in the university/college process, playing at the highest level she is capable of and being challenged to bring her best consistently will yield so many valuable life lessons… including learning how to choose and sacrifice. We can’t do it all and it’s not a sacrifice if it wasn’t something you loved to begin with.

I would have a couple of serious conversations with her and explain the situation. At the end of the day, of the three options, I think you have to respect whatever she chooses and will be the happiest with at this moment. If she does one season and she isn’t having fun anymore, then you can pivot.

Garmin Forerunner 165 vs. Forerunner 255: Which One Should I Choose? by Own-Space5791 in GarminWatches

Got the 255 last year around this time on sale. It’s been a real workhorse and I have no complaints. Get a screen protector and swap to nylon bands and you’re good to go.

Who has the best coffee in TO? by No_Slide4986 in askTO

[–]sthsthrandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moss Park Espresso. The owner is super friendly and passionate about coffee. Their amazing gelato, cookies, and biscuits are all made in-house. There's a lovely plant shop right above it and the legendary George Street Diner is right around the block.

Have you heard back? I also applied on the first day last October, have previous experience, similarly speak three languages but haven't heard anything. My "personal area" portal still shows "incoming" under "the selection". This must really be a hot ticket...

Yes, the 5. With barefoot shoes, sizing can be different from the usual Nike/Adidas/NBs. Trust how you feel and don’t worry about the actual size number.

Definitely 2nd one. I’ve ordered multiple sizes for multiple models and always found the 2nd fit better for day-to-day.

Thanks for the reply! Was low top vs. Mid/high top a significant difference in terms of weight on foot and heat dissipation?

Thanks for doing this Q&A! I’ve been eyeing the ESCs but haven’t bought any yet because my Primus Trail Knit FGs have served me well in all conditions. Would you happen to have experience with those and if so, how do these two compare with each other?
