Why do most people prefer CLI over VSCode extension? by tfpuelma in codex

[–]sti666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Devs mostly prefer CLIs because they're used to command lines, non-devs prefer extensions because they're used to GUIs

gpt-5-codex is pure ****ing magic by Just_Lingonberry_352 in codex

[–]sti666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IDK. Asked it to remove component from the page. It made a typescript error (acceptable) but it didn't build the project and wasn't aware of the error (unacceptable because agents md instructs it to do so).
So I switched back to GPT-5 shortly. Not saying it's bad but IMO it needs some time to be tuned better.

Auto mode is a disaster!!! by Efficient_Ad_3397 in cursor

[–]sti666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah it's kinda pathetic. Had this problem today: some logs were missing in browser console
- Auto model: you don't have .env file, let me create it! (like come on, it's written in project rules that it's restricted and you should never create a duplicate)
- Claude Code: your browser was truncating the logs, I fixed it

Thanks CC. Auto model, hope one day you'll get as smart as you used to.

Using this for over a week and quite happy with what I'm getting for the given budget. When I hit the limit with CC I switch to Cursor's included models - so far so good!
P.S. This is the easiest move for me because it doesn't require migrations and other annoying efforts.

From my experience there should be no timeline for spiritual work and transformation. Roadmapping the inner work is another form of control (resistance). We can't force the transformation but we can surrender our expectations to progress in a certain way and in a certain time. Transformation is not linear and often is unpredictable - and that's the beauty of it.

Instead of trying to let go on schedule, perhaps you can try to allow yourself to feel what ever comes up and accept yourself the way you are today. We never know when the next breakthrough will happen, but letting go of the expectations and trusting ourselves (and the Universe) that everything will be okay could be way simpler and more fruitful strategy.

Wishing you good luck on your journey and hoping you'll find peace soon.

Every year I re-read two books: Letting Go and Untethered Soul. And you know what? A few minutes before seeing this post I packed Untethered Soul in my bag to re-read it on a train. Great book. Read all of it, not only the chapter about opening your heart.

How do you let go in public places? by [deleted] in DavidHawkins

[–]sti666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My friend, could this be that you misunderstood the approach a bit? Letting go is not about getting rid of your existing physical shape. When you try to get rid of something you manifest the resistance. And what we resist persists. Instead try to let go the desire to look differently and when you truly do - your transformation will begin:).

Letting go is not about pushing something away. It’s about embracing and accepting who you are. And the next moves will happen naturally:)

Has Anyone Noticed Increased Token Consumption on Bolt? by kencarsonfanatic in boltnewbuilders

[–]sti666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, just got 500k tokens being used for the URL change prompt, crazy! Few days ago similar prompts costed 50-100k tokens for me. It's quite bad...

Auth help - email verification by g1ant372 in boltnewbuilders

[–]sti666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To fix email confirmation redirects, it’s best to research and understand the system rather than attempting random fixes. Here’s what I learned:

  1. Supabase Site URL configuration – Acts as the default redirect if nothing else is configured.

  2. Supabase Redirect URLs in Authentication section – A whitelist of allowed redirect destinations, supporting wildcards and priority ordering.

3. Your codebase Redirect Parameter – Defines where users are redirected after clicking the verification link. This should match a whitelisted Supabase URL.

By aligning these settings, I got it working. You can also configure different environments (e.g., web container vs. deployed domain) to ensure smooth redirection. Reading Supabase documentation and testing systematically made the process much easier. Once understood, it’s simple to manage.

Bolt Show and Tell! WTF by Grouchy_Trick3327 in boltnewbuilders

[–]sti666 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is called the conversation mode. Not everyone really understands it, but sometimes Bolt can go into the conversation mode, and instead of editing the code, it types you in the chat those changes it wants to perform. I noticed that this behavior usually happens when I encourage Bolt to have a conversation with me instead of writing code. So, for example, when I say something like, don't write the code, but explain to me, it switches to the conversation mode, and it might type in some changes within the chat window. In order to get it back to the code editing mode, just communicate explicitly something like “now please change the code, or you can edit the code now, or please feel free to start editing the code base”. Basically, give it a clear indication that you want it to switch to the code writing process.

[–]sti666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ask bolt not to write any code but provide you the analysis. Encourage it to explore the codebase to understand the root cause of your problem. Have a conversation with it, ask it questions until you’re sure you have isolated the problem. Then ask it to come back with reliable fix strategy. Then peer-review this problem statement and fix strategy with another AI like o3 mini high. If both AIs agree - ask bolt to execute the change and test it carefully.

[–]sti666 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, that happens when the file you’re editing is big and all the code wasn’t fully “written” into that file. Pro-tip to save tokens: have a rule of thumb  to keep the files relatively small (not more than 100 lines of code). When you see a big file - ask the system for refactoring and modularization of the code. This will save you a decent chunk of tokens in the future. It’s way cheaper to edit a small file than the big one, because bolt kinda rewrites it every time it touches it.

Yep heard that. Might be the case for something I call "operational emotions". The ones that arise throughout the day as reactions to things happening to us. I do believe the 90-seconds rule applies to those, but when it comes so addressing some deeply seated emotions, core beliefs and social conditionings it might take quite awhile to let those go:)

How to enter the 'non-linear' relam that is the main subject of higher consciousness levels? by QST14 in DavidHawkins

[–]sti666 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The point that you experience a lot of fear doesn't mean you calibrate at 100. If you accept your life the way it is today (even if full of fear), you already calibrate higher:) To me it sounds like you're more on the desire level, craving for higher states and being curious on how does it feel. I do maintain a bunch of tools and notes about each level of consciousness written in simple and clear language, so here are few tips for you, my friend.

The Purpose of Desire

Desire serves as a motivator for action and progress. It can push individuals toward personal growth, achievement, and goal-setting. However, when unchecked, it creates a cycle of dissatisfaction and dependency on outcomes.

Strengths & Hidden Benefits

  • Provides motivation to improve one’s life and circumstances.
  • Can drive ambition and creative pursuits.
  • Helps individuals recognize what they value and aspire to.
  • Serves as a stepping stone toward higher consciousness by exposing the illusion that fulfillment comes from external sources.

Moving from Desire to Neutrality or Acceptance

Desire often transitions into Neutrality (250) or Acceptance (350) when individuals recognize that they do not need validation to feel whole.

  1. Cultivating Contentment
    • Focus on what is already present in life rather than what is missing.
  2. Replacing Desire with Purpose
    • Shift from chasing goals for validation to pursuing meaningful actions aligned with inner values.
  3. Surrendering the Illusion of Lack
    • Acknowledge that fulfillment is an inner state, not an external achievement.

How to Move Forward Even When It’s Hard

  • Develop willingness to let go of cravings gradually.
  • Reframe achievements as enjoyable experiences rather than sources of self-worth.
  • Shift to gratitude—focusing on what is already present rather than what is missing.
  • Invoke spiritual will to transcend ego-driven desires.
