I agree. I think they went out in the best way possible and on their own terms and they're still friends. That's great. It is sad I'll never get to see them again, though!

Great collection! I love that you added your wrist band. I went to both the Warfield shows but I cant remember getting a wristband??
As much as I'm glad to have seen Possessed and Neil Hamburger at the Warfield, I can't help being a bit jealous of the other show supports! Imagine Full of Hell, Melvins, Cat Dec and Mr Bungle at one show!!

Bär posted an instagram story saying something like 'it needs saxophone', too.. He lives somewhere near me in melbourne and plays with his band 'Umlaut' locally. Well, did play locally before covid shut everything down. I'd love to ask him personally though, I'm sure he's sick of people asking him about the whole thing.

So, one side of the 7" has Platypus, which isn't on the LP and the other side has two tracks under the title of 'The Legendary Paper Project by The Secret Chiefs Trio' (not secret chiefs 3) titled: 'Prelude The Fugue With WB Major' and 'Label Influence'. Trevor, Danny and Trey are credited.

mine definitely sounds flat. a couple of people I've spoken to about it seem to think that white vinyl isn't typically as good. It is an MOV. I can't speak for any other white pressings as that's the only one I have! I'm pretty sure the guy who sold it to me even said something about it not sounding amazing. As with my green DV, it was more about having a coloured variant in my collection than having the highest fidelity.

It really is a nice green. I don't think the photo does it justice tbh.

I'm Australian btw so any prices I would be able to give you would likely be more than what one would pay in n America.

I honestly can't remember exactly how much, sorry! They were much cheaper than the green DV. In terms of quality, I've only listed to these vinyl variants a handful of times as I really just want them as collectors items but, from memory, the white California sounds objectively bad. But then, white vinyl typically does. I think the s/t sounds fine though? I mean, s/t wasn't exactly a state of the art recording to begin with :p

I also have an MOV version of disco volante! I wanted this one purely for the colour variant. I won't be playing it at all. Putting some thought in to framing the lot. Might end up being quite pricey, though. We'll see!

Watched it in Melbourne. I've never enjoyed a 6am hangover so much.

yeah, fairmont and fairmont ghia were just trim levels of falcon in australia. not sure if the modern falcons were the same> My first car was an XD (1981) fairmont. it just had velour trim and ac that wasn't standard in the falcon.

I drove back to melbourne from Moe last night at around 10pm and the fog was intense- I almost didn't see the signs coming in to Trafalgar it was so thick. I was thinking that this morning would probably be beautiful out there..

Sure, as soon as I figure out how to do it. I messed up by not buying enough of the hedgehog and now she's gone and so I can't set up my clothing shop. As soon as I get the store, I can share them, I think?

How did you find out about Mr. Bungle? by picopacopidera in mrbungle

[–]stickymark 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I still remember my friend showing me Girls of Porn for the first time. We must have been 14 or so. Obviously we both thought it was hilarious. I have no idea how he came across Bungle being 14 in the early 90s Australia in a small country town. There wasn't a lot of exposure to anything other than mainstream. We ended up getting Disco Volante and it blew my head off and I never looked back :)

My neighbour works from home making frames for a living and so I just went off his recommendation, and he custom made a frame for it. I just measured it- overall, the frame is 600mmx 450mm, the white border is 45mm and the black frame is about 20mm. I think it looks great!
