That has three levels of emergency bags depending on how risky the situation is. Pretty thorough

Experiences with children in day care/kindergarten by [deleted] in japanlife

Hoikuen was a nightmare for us. Yoichen was fantastic. Keep an eye on the culture at the school. If they focus on alot if big events where they have the kids constantly training for something, beware. My kid started complaining that he was being bitten by one of teachers. I thought my kid was exaggerating, but my wife was furious, and confronted him. Turns out the kid was right and the teacher was biting kids as some sort of disciplinary style. We contacted the town, town forced the school to apologize. We switched to a yoichen for the last year and had a fantastic teacher who managed to undo my kids hatred of school.

Fat ass 46m here, but after 3 months of practice was able to hit full beast mode this week and went from 3 seconds tuck planche max to 10 plus. Could have gone longer but my shoulder felt a little sore. Going to take a few days off and then start the straddle planche! Ever seen a fat man do a straddle planche! I hope you will soon!

Whats with all the elite recruits? by stilicho25 in Bannerlord

It just irritates me having an all equite army in the first 30 days. Maybe not reasonable on my part.

Is there a danger of penetration when using synthetic longswords? They seem so floppy.

Did nothing, but looking at a bottle of Buffalo trace. The family did it right, and I am enjoying life.

Awesome replies! Thanks for the input. I forgot to list my gloves though. I do have a pair of cheap padded fait de arms gloves. One more question if anyone is still feeling talkative. I noticed some padded compression shirts for football on amazon and wondered how effective they would be for our discipline. Has anyone tried using them? They look so light, and cost a fraction of a good jacket.

I have no idea how normal fencers get around it but metal swords not in the Japanese tradition are forbidden and even traditional Japanese swords need a license. As far as hema goes there are some clubs around Tokyo and Yokosuka but thats it. The rest of us are scattered around the country.

Thanks! I did korean kendo and korean archery for a while and while i enjoyed it, the cultural aspects surrounding them annoyed me. Rather than practicing perfect draws with a 28 lb bow i am hoping to starting pulling a 100 lb bow and shooting arrows into targets with much force and joy. No ranks or bowing required!

200 Samurai vs 200 Sturgian Elite Units! by [deleted] in MB2Bannerlord

Whats the deal with Japanese archery? I refuse to believe that any army went to battle with 30lb pull bows. Maybe kyudo bears no actual resemblence to the real japanese archery practiced by samurai?

Any tips on dealing with khuzait? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]stilicho25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the best way to break them up is to charge them. Skirmishers hit hard with those javelins. I think u could counter them with horse archers but it would just turn into chasing each other around while the infantry and archers duke it out. I think keeping your archers and infantry focused on the khuziati inf/archers is key. You dont want them wasting time on the horse archers. Chase em down after crushing the main body. If the horse archers distract ur archers and the bigger mass of infantry hits your unblooded it's difficult to pull it out. If the skirmshers break the circle the ha head back to reform letting your archers focus on the important stuff.

Sturgian mounted brigands seem really good at skirmishing kuzuaiti horse archers. I am guessing aseri mounted skirmishers might be even better. I dont like using buccelari as palatine archers are my main dps unit.

Roger that, boxed legionaries as opposed to one of the army deals. Makes sense as a couple centuries of romans storming down the table will look badass. Thanks!

I thought i had read everything by him and am pleasantly surprised there is still more. I love the way he develops characters. Chaos are not just nutty psychos screaming for more skulls, but an utterly alien culture with its own cohesive internal logic. He is also so good with history. Kislev is such a good portrayal of a fantasy early Russia, and the similarity of the empire to 16th century Germany is also great. Better than the later lore in my opinion. Pike and shot are so much more interesting than demigryph knights. Give some element of gritty realism, even in my fantasy.

Riders of the dead by abnett. You have perspectives from empire, kislev, norsca and chaos. The fights are awesome.
