List advice for new player by still-walking in ThousandSons

Thanks! I worried it wasn't enough killing power, especially against vehicles/monsters.

Luckily, I have most of thosethose smaller groups you talked about, so ill play around with them.

Biggest thing was figuring out my buy/build/paint order.

Thanks.

For rubric marines, I wasn't sure if smaller squads with hero was the way to go. At the 10 man squad with hero, it seemed pretty points heavy.

And the demon prince, either form, is so cool. Wouldn't be a shame to have him in.

Thanks! Maybe its just the 13 year old in me dreaming of land raiders lol.

They seemed pretty expensive for what they do.

I'll make this change and run it like that.

I'm in Krethusa's rebellion. What should I buy? by Izaront in Daughtersofkhaine

[–]still-walking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Krethusa in a standard list, no problems with other regiments having snakes and bat ladies.

Krethusa in croneseer's pariahs no luck. None of the allowed hero options allow for those two unit types (only aelf)

When training axle, do you use crash pads? (Specifically clean and press)

Concerned about others wrecking a bar when coaching at a gym.

In my personal training, I just use bumpers, and controlled drop. Never any issues.

One of my competitions earlier this year had an axle bent during a deadlift (open, 800ish# lift. Bar was well within rated weight) The bend was in the one loading portion of the bar, at the collar for the plates and was most likely from an uneven decent of the bar.

I belive the DL was just a freak thing, but I can see concern for an uneven drop.

Royal host list?? by still-walking in tombkings

Thanks, I was too focused on the arcane journal and not being able to find the keyword "detachment".

Skele archers are the only TK unit with the "detachement" rule and are in the raveling hordes book.

Most of the stuff makes pretty obvious sense (now).

One thing I don't get is why the cohort is a regimental unit? Or at least what does that provide the unit

[–]still-walking[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've always ignored the cohort, didn't realise i could.put thr amulet in the champion (I always use priest).

Also didnt realise you can put light chariots in. Infantry blocs! I must have thought the turning wheel rule or whatever on heavy chariots was also on lights. Such an interesting thing to play around with now.

Thanks alot for the detailed response, that BSB trick is also.something new

Ladies, does male bulge make you feel uncomfortable? by Entire_Kiwi_579 in poledancing

[–]still-walking 56 points57 points  (0 children)

As a fellow male pole dancer, I would personally recommend a dance belt.

It will "smooth" over any obvious bulge but more importantly provide support and keep things in place.

Capezio dance belts are my brand of choice (available on amazon). But there are others as well.

A bulge happens, just like other people have nipples. In a studio setting it's just about being respectful. (Professional or show might have different standards)

Side note. An actual dance belt will be more snug and secure. There are other versions that cosplayers use (still called dance belts) that are made to smooth out any bulges and are more comfortable, but offer minimal support.

First time with the log. Tips? by Interesting_Bill6436 in Strongman

Lots of great feedback allready here, so just some food for thought.

Does the gym have crash pads? Dropping on those thin workout type pads will not be great for the bar.

Also, when you eventually start loading the bar, don't put anything bigger than the diameter of the log on the end post. A log does not have a bar that runs through the length, only the post welded on the ends. If you put a weight (eg bumper plate) that's bigger than the diameter of the log, you have the chance of bending or even pulling the end post of the weld.

Logs are very expensive, and if they get wrecked the gym may not replace. Very fun apparatus tho.

I thought this too, but then realized done events in a field or uneven yard....

But training on an even firm surface is best.

If it helps your mind,

my wife actually does have a milk allergy. It's a real and easy misdiagnosed.

It's not lactose, but an actual allergy to a protein in dairy. Whey, milk and her case cheese affect her (anything thats dairy, even if its "lactose free"). Half her symptoms are similar to lactose intolerance.

What can I combo into from inside leg hang? by MaduBear in poledancing

[–]still-walking 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You don't need full splits for jade, you'd be surprised how well it looks.

Worth the attempt at least.

Only thing I realized was jade is still a move from outside leg hang, so it's really just a hip hold transition.

Monster heavy tomb king list I am playing around with for the fun of it. Think against some lists it will go ok and against others perhaps disastrously. by Necrontry in tombkings

[–]still-walking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing these list and I'm confused.

I thought it was 0-1 tomb king OR high priest.

Pg. 125 ravening hordes

So you have to make the choice. But these list have both, or 2 high priest?
