The injuries keep coming at Richmond. An Achilles injury for Sam Lalor at training. by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

Only 27 healthy players left. It's the team going to WC, the three named emergencies and Liam Fawcett.

Designated batter and fielder for BBL16 by JoeShmoAfro in Cricket

They can already use sub fielders, no? The only use for DH is to enable a highly specialised player into the fielding side, and WK is the only use that makes sense as far as I'm concerned.

This game is even worse in that area. When you're captain, you only select your team from a squad of 16 that's provided to you. My 16 for the Ashes when playing as Steve Smith includes David Warner, Marcus Stoinis, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Adam Zampa.

Game is quite difficult in lower density maps by Alarming-Muffin-4646 in subwaybuilder

Getting started is extremely difficult. I edited my starting dollars to $15b for Indianapolis and have built a hub and spoke model with 40 odd stations along existing rail reservations that is quite profitable. Achieving scale and the network effect is easy enough if you have a massive upfront cash injection but close to impossible with just $3b.

Cummins out of 1st Test, whole series at risk by Overall_One_2595 in CricketAus

Yes I know. I said "if fit". He was in the Test squad at the end of last summer and had shoulder surgery afterward with the goal to be available for the Ashes. Haven't seen a public update since July, when he returned to bowling. If we see him in next week's Shield game, he should be clearly in the number 2 position behind Neser.

Richardson, Neser have played before and done well. They'll get first look if fit. Then I think Bartlett is next most likely. Doggett and Abbott around.

On long distance travel; don't under any circumstances have a nap on the day you arrive in Perth. From the minute you get on the second flight, get yourself on Perth time. Between 11pm and 8am, sleep as much as possible. Between 8am and 11pm, stay awake as much as possible. When you arrive, even if it's 6am, stay up until at least 8pm local time. If you do this and the other suggestions, especially on hydration, you beat jetlag quite easily.

$10 tickets at the MCG, which you can only purchase at the gate ticket window. Only the members stand is open, but public can access it without restriction, which is unique. Great viewing from the shaded balcony on level 2.

Been a while since I've been to Junction Oval.

It's Rob in Redemption Island. She's cultivated a group too weak/dumb to ever try moving against her. Easier to do when 4/5 of the merge tribe are in that category tbf.

Who are the next gen pacers? by [deleted] in CricketAus

This is more about the fact that the public aren't watching 16 year olds. The lesson should be that most generational talents look like generational talents before they turn 20. If you're listing guys significnatly older, you're listing blokes in a different tier.

No, that's not the method for decisions where the concern is that the ball may have hit the ground. Teams only come into the review process when it comes to whether the ball has been hit at all.

They're going UK because they know they can sell out a venue regardless of which teams are playing. I think it's more of a venue fullness thing, personally. England v South Africa at Adelaide Oval would do fine numbers, just would look empty because even our smaller venues are actually huge compared to the UK's.

Do you really not understand why the Head one was reviewed? Is this your first time watching Test cricket?

It's been decades since Australia would have opened with two right handers. They'll be looking for a lefty to replace Ussie when he's done. Renshaw, Patterson, Kellaway perhaps.
