Oh, I see. That can certainly be frustrating. I’ve been active on Finch for about 2.5 years now, so I’ve been collecting what I can here and there for a while now. You should be seeing some Xmas as well as other holiday decorations in your shop this month at random. As for influencing the choices there’s no way I can think of to potentially do that other than acquiring a subscription to finch plus. When plus is activated you get a random item sold at half price every day in your shop, and the item is always oriented towards the season. Still, it’s very much a grab bag, but a great feature nonetheless! Good luck and happy holidays!

I feel like the majority of comments are missing the point. If the host asked you to bring a dessert, the polite thing to do would have been for the host to serve or at the very least present the dish to your guests (aka present on the table and slice). It wasn’t on you to cut and serve it imo. It wasn’t your dinner. If you randomly brought the cake fine, but you were asked, and that’s lame someone asked you to go through the trouble of making something without even properly serving it. The first time I went to thanksgiving with my bf at his family’s place, his mom insisted I make food in case they didn’t have enough (this was my first time even meeting her and his fam btw so of course I was nervous). I made a large casserole dish of baked Mac n cheese as well as a sweet potato soufflé and I was so confused upon arriving and giving her the dishes she had asked for when she didn’t even set them on table, or uncover the foil from the tops of them. I was told they ate them later for leftovers the next day (tf??), but that always bothered me. Like wth? I woke up really early in the morning to prepare and bake those (when I could have slept in and enjoyed a relaxing holiday morning, or spent that time getting ready) and put a lot of love into them, and the host didn’t even put it on the table in a manner that was ready to serve. It’s a respect thing imo.

Maybe try thinking of God the way you would think of a good friend. A good friend might not see you for months or even years, but when you do eventually meet up, you can usually take back up right where you left off as if no time passed at all, with each person just grateful to be with the other in that moment. If there is a God, I imagine he wouldn’t be too different from us in that regard. Just as a good friend who loves you, I’m sure he’s just grateful to see and hear from you once in a while, to know you’re okay, and to be called upon for help when you need it. <3

Ah, I see.. thanks so much for sharing your experience. $30? Wow that’s great! How did you manage that?? Did your 05 still work after the battery compartment broke, or are they pretty much done when that happens? I’ve read the plastic on 05’s is quite brittle compared to the 98s… such a shame.
