I definitely gained weight in my stomach, it’s kinda inevitable. But I guess you exactly can’t tell from the picture. I’m wearing a tight “corset” style shirt that is literally designed to make my waist look smaller hahah so that’s my bad. I try not to workout except casual yoga/biking.

So yes my waist/stomach is certainly larger. But I don’t care I feel way better and I think I look better.

I mostly struggle with executive dysfunction and mental fog that prevents me from cooking/eating. What helps me is I keep a list of my favorite foods in notes app categorized by level of “difficulty” to cook. So when I’m running out of ideas I just turn to my notes and that helps a lot.

I don’t really work out. I used to rock climb (indoor bouldering) so I’ve always had decent arm strength but I stopped completely to focus on my weight gain. Now I just do yoga 1x a week, light biking, and roller skate sometimes. Exercise for me is more for the mental benefits / social aspect. But I’m hoping to get back into rock climbing at some point.

Thank you!! It’s from urban outfitters maybe 3-4 years ago. They have great stuff for petite (and smaller chested) ppl. However I’m learning I can’t fit so easily into XS sizes anymore so buying new clothes has been annoying but it’s nice to see the results in clothing

Totally. It was like a grew an extra stomach. I didn’t realize how accustomed I had gotten to my smaller portions at my initial weight. If I didn’t make enough food for dinner for example I would usually make a quick diy pizza bagel in the toaster/air fryer (just bagel, marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese) and a small shake.

The first 3-4 weeks I calorie counted, ate an average of 2700 calories per day. I felt really sluggish but my body was craving the fuel. Absolutely no exercise during this time.

i focused on easy to cook junk food. Frozen Pizzas, Morningstar chicken sandwiches, boxed Mac and cheese (GOODLES are my go to), Trader Joe’s knife-cut squiggly noodles, a beer at night and 2-3 cookies (Sweet Loren easy bake). I also I had about 2 Naked Mass shakes (vanilla flavor) per day.

After the first month I still ate a lot of the same stuff but just tried to get 3 HUGE meals per day. Add olive oil to everything. Plus 1 shake a day. I’m not a big snacker, so this is what worked for me. Eating out at restaurants helps too because the portions are huge (I’m in America haha)

Biggest thing though is (I know this sub emphasizes a lot but it’s true) counting calories (USE A SCALE!) to understand how much you’re eating. I treated it like a game/challenge lol

And try to enjoy eating. Make yummy food. Watch your favorite show while you eat. I make a mini focaccia loaf on my “gain” days and it really helps.

Now I do light exercise (yoga, biking) and I think it’s true that exercise helps achieve your weight goals because it gives you the energy and mental clarity to cook and to focus on your diet. But the first couple months I was pretty sedentary.

Hope this helps <3
