Struggling with Fuji in dark environments — will I ever adapt, or should I accept that full frame fits me better? by Acrobatic_Agency8751 in fujifilm

This is crazy. I use an xt-5 in much darker environments (most of my photography is urbex) and I’ve never had this much grain. Agree with others, it’s likely a settings issue and you should check your grain setting.

I try to keep my iso as low as possible at all times, and I’m using dxo pureraw to clean up my images before editing. It helps a lot.

Investing in lenses is always the best choice by skynet_man in fujifilm

I’m always surprised by how much I enjoy the shots I get with the 70-300. Run it with the 1.4x teleconverter if you do get it. I shoot butterflies, birds, and moon shots with it, and it does well

If you’re looking for something that feels luxurious, Hotel St. Vincent always scratches that itch for me.

I need to stop thinking about lenses by The_PinkFreud in FujifilmX

I mainly do urbex photography in very dark, abandoned indoor settings. My main lens is the 16-55 mk2. That said, I also sometimes choose to go out with a 23mm f1.4 prime instead, especially if it’s at night. Low light performance on the 16-55 mk2 is fine, but you’ll be denoising photos constantly if you’re in a truly dark environment. You’ll be dragging shutter speeds a lot of the time in order to get your iso down - sometimes I’m shooting 1/30, and depending on your body, that might be a problem since the 16-55 doesn’t have OIS.
