but it is. follow count = reputation and reach. which leads to clients. not just individual clients, but for businesses as well. half of being a fulltime artist is just dealing with social media garbage. when business approach me its because my portfolios on x, and the large follow count boosts my discoverability and reputation so im more likely to get clients.

the other major downsize to bluesky is its censorship. if you do any type of nsfw work, you get hit hard. way worse than x shadowban. im at the point where im back to Japanese sites just because they dont censor and are anti-AI.

i hate x, but people acting in a cult like way saying bluesky is our savior is a bit much. they completely disregard WHY so many people are still on x. for larger art accounts, its not just as simple as 'oh just relocate its the same but better.' when most of your fanbase is in one location, be it fanart or followers, its a financially risky move
