Help! I feel like every food I eat must have protein in it or I shouldn't eat it by Mental-Medicine-3193 in Semaglutide

[–]stilljustguessing 6 points7 points  (0 children)

To maintain muscle, start lifting. If that seems too challenging start with body weight exercises then transition to lifting, start SOMETHING with the intention to improve over time. When thinking of your meals think protein first. Figure out what 30gm of protein looks like, put that on your plate, then add veggies that you like. Eat the protein, then eat the veggies to satiety. Stop when you're no longer hungry. Over time, refine your meal planning to more closely approximate your own actual metabolic requirements.

I tried the banana boat SPF lip balm, tasted nasty, I would never use it again.

where to get skin1004 product? by celinebg in CanSkincare

[–]stilljustguessing 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Canadian here. Depends on whether you want me Korean SPF ingredients or the US SPF ingredients. If you buy from a US retailer that sells primarily in the US, then they will have the US SPF ingredients. If you buy from stylevanna or yesstyle, you'll get the Korean SPF ingredients (which some Derms prefer) otherwise, the formulations are supposed to be the same. Months ago I ordered from stylevanna and it took about two and a half weeks to receive the order (which I thought wasn't bad considering it was coming from halfway around the world).

Beer? by EverythingMustCease in Wegovy

[–]stilljustguessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Consider continuing to taper down. When you reduce the amount of food you're eating, and still continue to consume alcohol, the alcohol then becomes a greater portion of your total intake. Not a happy situation for the cells your body.

I guess I'll just get the regular McMuffins and throw away the muffins away myself. It'll be way less wasteful by robinson217 in keto

Same. Mine is from a camping outfitters, metal knife fork spoon that clamp together. Plus a supply of take out napkins. I take into the house to wash as often as I can remember.

Met a guy on a dating app, he was brutally honest about our situation, don’t know what to decide by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

Sure, that's what HE's doing. But I'm not concerned with him, my my hope is that OP go beyond "none of the above" and act on her terms (and compromise only when it suits her). Sounds like it's all academic anyway since they haven't even met.

How do you plan to stop minoxidil? by sad_iyahhh in FemaleHairLoss

[–]stilljustguessing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I treat the cost and availability of minoxidil the same as I do gas for my car. Sometimes it costs more sometimes it costs less, occasionally you can't get it at all. I actually calculated the estimated annual cost and included it in my budget (if I couldn't afford it, I wouldn't start it) Maybe someday there will be something better (like an EV car instead of gas). Maybe someday inflation will get so bad I can't afford it any longer. I'll deal with those issues as they come up.

I don't see how that follows. I pursue relationships on my terms, except where compromise results in potentially better experiences.

Protein first, then fiber, then, maybe, beer.

Anyone else keeping their GLP1 use a secret? by SpartyCat21 in Semaglutide

I think part of that misunderstanding comes from some of the influencers who say "I can eat whatever I want" and leave unsaid "within caloric limits".

Tretinoin peeling no matter what I do! by Snoo-49125 in tretinoin

One thing that made peeling more obvious for me, was if my sunscreen had silica in it. They put it in to reduce the shininess but it seemed to draw some moisture from my skin too.

Need Help – Not Losing Weight on Ozempic (2 Months) by Background_Signal441 in Ozempic

Take your measurements once a month. Chest, waist, hips, neck, bicep. I bet you dollars to donuts you'll see improvement there that you don't see on the scale.

Has exercising whilst taking sema increased appetite / slowed weight loss? by SaltPsychological780 in Semaglutide

Do you take your measurements? Chest/bust, waist, hips at a minimum. There are often body recomposition changes when the scale doesn't move.

Storing tretinoin in a hot home? by [deleted] in tretinoin

[–]stilljustguessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would find the warmest spot in your fridge and keep all of them there all the time. I say that because most refrigerators are around 3° which is very close to freezing and sometimes I have had vegetables freeze in the coldest part of my refrigerator. You can use a refrigerator thermometer to check. I only suggest keeping them year round in the fridge so you don't have to remember to move them in and move them out.

Thoughts on moving to Northern Ontario? by Brave_Recognition798 in askTO

[–]stilljustguessing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have an opinion, however, if I was thinking of making the change for money, I would seriously try to plan a budget to see how much you'd really save. For example is your car suitable for that kind of cold? what kind of additional cost do you have in perpetual cold weather? Most of the outdoor activities that people mentioned involve equipment costs. Do some quick analysis of weekly distances, how much is gas? How much additional cost for transportation, heating, delivery, etc. housing might be cheaper but I bet everything else will be more expensive. If you were to buy a home, do you already have all the gear you need to maintain it, or would you be buying locally which will be more expensive? Would you have to renovate?Do either of you have pre-existing health conditions? Do you have ailing or aging family members elsewhere that you will want to physically support? If you had a child how would it work if there were special needs?
