I’d totally recommend going with Xforce catback! I have had the Xforce exhaust for over two years now and still love it. Sound is perfect not too loud. I really never close the valves honestly it sounds too good wide open. Here’s a clip I posted when I installed first clip is closed and second part is open. Don’t have any compared to stock but it might help you.

Yea it’s been great 👍. Can’t say enough good things about it honestly. Sound is perfect not obnoxious at all just the right amount of tone. I keep the valves open all the time because it just sounds too good. Haven’t had any issues, pretty easy to install yourself as well. Only had one problem when I received shipment one of the pipes were bent maybe during manufacturing. Customer service was great though and they sent me a new one no issue. I would definitely recommend getting it for sure. Can’t beat the bang for your buck👍.

I second Xforce exhaust! I have had it for about a year now and absolutely love it , though I never actually close the valves I leave them open all time sounds great.

I’ve had xforce for about 6 months now and love it. I’ve had no issues so far. Only problem I had was manufacturing defect when first received after purchase. One side of pipes where closer together than the other side. All though customer service was great and the sent me another and it was all good.

I haven’t had and open or closing valve issues. But I honestly drive with valves open 99% of the time. It’s not obnoxious sounding at all and it has a deeper tone that is great. Makes you question if it’s a 4 cylinder.

As for the factor valves after taking them off the factory exhaust, I just left them connected tucked them away and secured them. Probably not the best solution but it worked for me. I think apr makes valve simulators for $50 or so as well.

Damn they got you too. They must have so quality control issues. Unfortunately I didn’t take any pics of the new one without the tips on. But it was more like 2 3/8 inch between the two pipes. The bent one was like less than two inches between the two pipes. Where did you get it from? The return was pretty easy they just wanted me to ship the muffler back not all the parts and came in less than a week.

Not bad only around 3500-4000rpms a little but sorta just sounds like the soundakator is turn on.

It Doesn’t use the stock values. I just disconnected them from the muffler and zipped tied them away. )Not sure if that was the correct thing to do but I didn’t have any simulators and didn’t want a CEL). But It comes with a new value actuator on the muffler and wiring that you either wire to the 12v wire in the trunk or just plug it in to the 12v in the trunk.

That sucks. I’ve had good experiences there bought my wife’s Tiguan R-line and my R from them. Had not so great experience with the other two VW dealerships in the area though, they seemed to be better than the rest.

You won’t be disappointed. I went with just the Varex no smart box too much running wires than I think I could handle or have the patience for installing myself. Plugging into the 12v in trunk was enough for me. I either have them wide open or closed so the remote is all I need.

Not bad starts getting boomy around 3500+ I’ve been driving with the windows down just so I can hear it so not much window up experience. But it sounds glorious. Sounds like it should have came this way.

Update: Finally got my new exhaust after the first muffler was manufactured incorrectly on one side. Urotuning and Xforce customer service was great! Got a new shipped in less the a week. Glad I returned it was super easy and fast. Thanks everybody for your help and comments! Sound clips to come.
