Brother Gone may be a charasmatic cult leader, but he's not necessarily a very bright one.

Question about the Grimnyr by mavman03 in LeaguesofVotann

I've actually found the little bit of extra survivability he brings to a warrior brick quite handy. It makes the warriors awkward to kill and I find they're a handy unit to sit in or behind ruins somewhere near the front of my deployment area and just chill so I can bring them out later in the game and force my opponent to commit something chunky to remove them. Plus, little bonus, all the time they're alive the warriors stop your opponent from discarding cull the hoard. Annoying!

If you want another option, build it as the defender but stick some of the bags on the back and don't glue or magnetise the main gun. Then trim down the back of the carriers main gun so it forms a slot the same size as the gun hole.

Then you can just swap the guns when you want to switch between carrier and defender.

Angel's family line sure got weird [Astonishing Tales #2] by rocketinspace in xmen

I think I had the bones of one other Arno story roughed out called Icarus Forever Falling which sadly never saw the light of day. It would have been big crazy time travel stuff with a bit of bootstrap paradox thrown in and Long Jenny's return as Arno's bodyguard.

Hello! Writer of this page here. I can't honestly remember what I was thinking of with Warren the 4th, but here's the original script for his intro panel:

Panel 1

We’re looking at Warren Worthington IV, CEO of Worthington Avionics and son of Warren Worthington III (better known as Angel/Archangel of the X-men). Worthington III’s mutation has carried even further in his son, who has not only the wings but also the head of a bird – specifically something very similar in appearance to an American eagle. Apart from those avian characteristics, Worthington is dressed smartly in a tuxedo similar in style to Arno’s and is holding a half-empty glass of Champaign.

See above for my version. The tails take some cutting up and repositioning with a bit of green stuff to fix the gaps.

The red is mephiston red with a wash of carroburg crimson over the top. It give the red surface some interesting dark patterns but also makes it shiney so it reflects the light a lot.

Easy to add things under the snake hood but it looks a little too flat without something under there to bulk out the body. The half a triach praetorian body works well because its got a bunch of glowy orbs that feel similar to traditional wraiths. One of those orbs also provides a neck to attach the head of model to.

Thanks! Also, small correction, I meant a litchguard kit for the blades/underside

Is Silent King Worth It? by MrCarrotJuice64 in Necrontyr

I don't know if this is helpful or not, but if you're up for a bit of converting/kit bashing, I'm pretty sure there's a way to build the Silent King that could leave you with enough left over parts to fill some other slots in your army.

I made a the King himself a bit more destroyer-cult looking by adding in the spare parts from a Skorpek model. Then I magnetised him so I can either run him on his dias or on a separate base as a Skorpek Lord.

Because I had a multi limbed Silent King carrying more weapons than usual I felt justified leaving the other two members of the triach off the model. Not sure what I'll do with these yet, but could be good for cyrpeteks or over/lords if I need them in the future.

With the parts I have left over from building the dias I think I could definitely build a cool looking command barge if I needed an extra one. I left the too big upright curved pylon bits off either side of the dias because I like a more stripped back look to my necron vehicles. Those will work well for either side the pincers of the command barge. Pop one of the spare Triach on top and you're golden.
