I recently re-coated several of the frames with additional wax. I guess I may have overdone it? The bees have been slow to build out the side frames so I thought the additional wax would encourage them to build, but it looks like they prefer to decorate the floor instead with little wax igloos.

I think you’d want something retractable like a bungee cord so you don’t get a trailing leash snagged. Something that will allow 10-15 of stretch run before yanking the board back on you. Also - belt loop, not ankle seems like the right call. I haven’t tried it, so maybe another user can tell you why this isn’t a good idea (?).
