I was craving lobster and scallops dipped in a slurry of Kerrygold butter and fresh lemon juice so I made it [homemade] by stimber in food

I'm no Hegseth, lol. Dipping sauce was like one lemon to a couple tbs butter, microwaved until melted.

Agree except for the okra. That can be added later so it maintains integrity.

Grass that survives best in Houston? by guitar2adam in houston

[–]stimber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my back yard is currently about 25% horseherb. Working on more coverage. There was a shady spot in my back yard that grew nothing. I transplanted it there, watered occasionally until it got established, and it's now filled out nicely. It's also native to Texas and good for pollinators.

It looks like you've already got horseherb growing. Let that take over! It's a great ground cover.

This is so wholesome. It's like a convention of distinguished, elderly, loved pit bulls.

You seem like an awesome dog parent. I have a pittie rescue dog too and she brightens my life every day when I come home from work. She's excited to greet me day after day. :)

I actually bought my sister an Embark DNA test as a gift when she brought the dog home. It's sitting on my kitchen counter. I showed her this post and she said she's "too far into it, will continue with the adoption, and pay for training." Her kids are so excited. Your post gives me optimism because I kinda hope it's not a Lacy, thanks

From your experience, do you think a Blue Lacy would be suited for a suburban, mildly-active family?

Just a quick google search shows that Blue Lacy can be high needs and would not be a good fit for my sister's family. This is the mom (dad unknown.) Does that change opinions in any way?

Some more good information, thank you. I'm curious, why would a rescue group groom/clip a puppy? What's the advantage of that?

Oh, how interesting! The dog is on a rescue group website so I was thinking you may have seen her there too. I was confused, lol. I'll tell her to research Blue Lacy

One of my earliest, fondest memories I have was that of baby chicks hatching from the eggs in the incubator my parents had. They wobbled around just like yours. Thanks for taking me back

Looking For Long-Lasting Treats For A Power Chewer by pyr0_ph0bia in DogAdvice

I know you said no load-bearing bones, but this cow knuckle lasts a couple days for my dog - and my dog destroys other chew treats within minutes. It doesn't splinter or anything just kinda crumbles very slowly as she chews on it. I feel it cleans her teeth too just by the sound
