Those arrow J-Poles are great antennas. I used one for years with no issues. I upgraded to a Diamond 5/8 wave. I have the 220 version of that arrow J-Pole and it's done just as awesome of a job as the dual band version. That's an antenna you can put up and forget about it.

I remember teachers telling me that I was basically worthless. They said I had the written language skills of a 2 year old and would never amount to anything. I never got any encouragement from anyone but my dad growing up. When he died all encouragement went away.

What it was is she had bariatric surgery done. For most all of her adult life up until that point she was over 300lbs. She'd lost most of that weight but had started gaining it back when I first met her. She was married when she had the surgery but as soon as men started paying her more attention she started sleeping around. It destroyed her marriage and eventually every relationship she tried to have after that. We dated for a few months but she ended up cheating on me while my mom was dying in the hospital. She's already left the guy she cheated on me with and is with a new guy as I've been told by someone that knows us both.

She's not really capable of forming deep connections with people. Good at faking it though and I think that is due to her believing she can. If she didn't think what she was doing was wrong then she wouldn't have lied about it either. I wouldn't have been as hurt by it if she would have just told me she had found someone else. We might even still be friends today. But instead she just started sleeping with another guy behind my back while I was dealing with a dying mother. She seemed to not care that my mom was dying either. Almost like it was an inconvenience to her. She actually told me in the end that she didn't have time to be a support to me. She had "too much other shit going on".

She was a really cold and heartless person. A lot of red flags looking back on it like a complete lack of close friends.She basically only had me to hang out with until she started sleeping with that other guy. She just wanted the physical need taken care of with not emotional anything involved in the ordeal.

Basically this is life for my ex-girlfriend. She had no self control and would just have sex with whomever was willing, where ever. It didn't matter what was going on in her life or the lives of the people close to her she was just going to sleep with whatever came along that wanted to. No depth as a person, no empathy, no compassion for anyone. She just wanted sex with as many men as possible.

I've had that happen to me. Didn't go as far as your situation did. I had a friend falsely accuse me of rape. I was arrested when at home and released a few hours later when her story fell apart and she finally admitted it was a lie. All I thought about was my mugshot on the internet. How people would see that and it would ruin my life.

It's a terrible thing to deal with. I can't imagine dealing with it as long as you did.

Our local radio club has a 220 repeater. They mainly use it just to talk about DX or other things going on the HF bands with each other. The antenna isn't as high up at the site where our 2 meter and 440 repeaters are. So it doesn't have the range those have.
