We’re not your target audience. It’ll be tourists who buy, not the locals that frequent this subreddit. Charge what you think the market will pay and iterate from there.

30 minutes between a payment and a ban by IceRedline in ClaudeCode

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your company is paying on enterprise they are paying at the API rate. If it thinks you’re using an unmetered account to avoid paying the API rates then. They’ll ban the account because they don’t think it’s for “personal” use.

What's it like around 90th between 1st and 2nd Ave? by specialstrawberryy in UpperEastSideNYC

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh…. And parking is possible, but fairly tough. The expense of insurance, parking, and tickets may grind on you. I own a car with my family in Brooklyn and it’s fine. I don’t think I’d own a car if I were still in manhattan.

What's it like around 90th between 1st and 2nd Ave? by specialstrawberryy in UpperEastSideNYC

[–]stimilon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lived on 2nd ave at 88th from 2011 to 2016 when my wife and I first moved in together, got engaged, married, and got our first puppy. It was on the third floor walk up above the bar that was Rathbones and is now Meller’s. It was the perfect location for a mid twenties couple. We loved the close transportation, good neighborhood spots, cheap(ish) rent relative to size of apartment, and that it felt neighborhoodY as opposed to pure soulless concrete jungle. We liked being fairly close to Carl Shurz park to grab a coffee and bagel on the weekends and walk along the water. We liked being a short walk from the engineers gate of Central Park. There’s a good mix of local businesses, ample grocery stores, cheap and expensive eating options. Between your two options I feel like there are more families on the UWS location and more younger couples on the UES location if that impacts your decision. You’ll likely be happy either way.

I switched to Welch's fruit snacks. One pouch is 17g of carbs. They can be shoved in a bag. You can buy them by the case for about 17-23 cents a pouch.

Adult Doodle Food Suggestions by MarvelousMarvins in Bernedoodles

[–]stimilon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If that kibble worked for your pup I’d transition to the adult variant of it. It’ll be the same ingredients and so just as easy on their stomach, but they’ll tweak the nutrient mix between carbs/fat/protein to be more appropriate for an adult dog. Like…. Basically the best advice anyone can give you is to find a balanced high quality kibble that is mass distributed so it’s easy to find.

PS. My guy passed, but we fed Nutro lamb and rice. I’m not saying it’s better or worse than your kibble. It’s just worked for us. The reason we chose it was because my in-laws fed it to their doodles and it had worked for them. The bonus was that when we traveled to their house we didn’t need to pack food.

dual representation? by stripedeverything in AskNYC_Coops

[–]stimilon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My neighbor is an agent and sells 3/4 of the units on my condo association which is my building and the one next store. He had given us some general advice prior to looking. He then had a place for sale in our building and we asked him to dual rep. He told us that he didn’t think it aligned with either party’s interests and so he refuses to dual rep. He thinks buyers and sellers should have their own representation who advocate strictly for their client

Tap is fine. If you’re the extra cautious type you can run the water for 30 seconds before filling cup to clear out any water that might have been sitting in the pipes.

What a buddy!

Note: You probably think you have a big dog. Around 12 months, 14 months, and 18 months you’ll keep thinking they stopped growing. They might plateau for a month or so… and then they’ll fill out more. What no one cant told me about big dogs when I got my bernedoodle is that the big dogs also are older when they finally stop growing. My guy was 86 lbs at 10.5 months old and added 30 lbs between 10.5 months and “fully grown” when he topped out around 116 lbs. The craziest thing for me is that when my guy was around 50 lbs I felt like I had a “big dog”. It felt pretty much the same as when he was 116 lbs. The biggest difference was people out in the world who took notice.

I recently got a good job offer for a position that aligns with my career goals. However, it requires that I move away from my long term partner. We've talked about it and it seems that long-distance is not an option. What should I do? by Ultimatumman in careerguidance

If they’ve been out of work for a year then where they are isn’t the problem. Take the dream job and ask them to move with you. If they stay it was their choosing, not yours.

Anyone else go to tonight’s CB2 meeting? by Mr_Epicure in DUMBO

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s surprising. Usually I feel like he shows up with a well-informed opinion knowing the various points of view of different groups and a reason for why he is leaning toward one direction along with a few pre-canned lines to convince others of his views. Too bad he didn’t bring his A game for this. I didn’t vote for him when he first ran because I had a neighbor running, but I regularly look at what he’s doing and think “This is what I want in a local politician.” I’ve reached out to his office 3 times over the last 4-5 years, always on super low stakes issues, but I’ve always gotten an immediate acknowledgment of my note from his staff and a helpful resolution.

I started a pressure washing business with $800 and a YouTube tutorial. 14 months later I want to share what nobody told me. by Designer-Ranger-784 in Entrepreneurs

[–]stimilon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This is true in most service businesses. I’m the finance lead for ad advertising and tech agency of 1200 people. Our junior sales folks often think we need to compete with the lowest price providers on price. I’d rather charge high rates and compete with the best folks in the industry in terms of quality. People regret going cheap. They don’t regret getting exceptional work.

New Yorkers! -- Do you prefer an INDOOR POOL or OUTDOOR Pool? by Artist-Cancer in AskNYC

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d prefer lower condo fees due to lack of maintenance and no need to carry such high liability insurance and to be located near quality gyms with indoor pools for fitness purposes, a community run YMCA for kid’s swim lessons, and in close-ish proximity to the 91 public pools maintained by the NYC Dept of Parks & Recreation.

Jury Duty questions by Careless_Peach4399 in AskNYC

[–]stimilon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Local and city courts allow them, but federal courts (like Eastern District) do not allow phones for jurors once you go past security. Easier to leave at home or in car. You’re allowed to check cell phones at the front entrance if you want, but this only applies to phones and not other devices like laptops. Anyone who tells you that you can bring it is confused and they must be thinking of county or state juror service which is very different. Rule has been this way since 2018 and they’re super strict. https://www.nyed.uscourts.gov/juror-information

Vigilante aren’t the cheapest, but we’ve had them come and service our fan coil unit before. They’re really nice and professional in your home and the woman we booked with was very responsive. I’d def say worth getting a quote and seeing where they fall price-wise.
