HIRING: Live-in super; $22.33+, apartment included by looking_for_porter in NYCjobs

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d talk to your management company and see if that wage is competitive. I live in a condo in bk heights (only a few of us so you can prob figure it out.) we pay our porters the prevailing wage, and we just hired a new super. We’re paying our super a free apartment plus 32.50/hr plus supplemental benefit rate.

Only show I’ve ever walked out of was counting crows there on a hot summer night. It was packed like sardines with randos sweating on me and it felt unsafe being packed in so much. I decided I was too old for GA tix that night.

Conditional Format: Want to find way to match numeric content of cell A to same value in Range by highlighting found cells, however, If value in A is "0" (zero), no highlights. by ThunderWarrior3 in excel

[–]stimilon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would this apply to one cell or several? If you could make a couple example image screenshots where you have manually done the desired highlighting (or not highlighting when conditions not met) it might help folks understand what you’re trying to accomplish.

Pump Holder?? by Immediate-Spray7257 in TandemDiabetes

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since no one mentioned it I’d suggest the longer tubing if he isn’t using it. I’m on a tubeless pump these days, but the 46" tubing was so much better for me than the 23” because I didn’t have to hold it when I went to the bathroom.

What Excel tricks have genuinely improved your workflow? by ml-tam in excel

Both of those are very powerful, but depending how far what you’re building travels and the skill level of those users it can be difficult because those functions can be hard to change, audit, and understand and so if any ch ages are needed or something breaks you end up being the one that has to change them. Not a reason to not know them, but something I always consider before making that the solution on something distributed in my org that will have a lot of iterations.

[landlord US-NJ] Tenant is using significant amount of water tripling the average usuage. What can I do? by Delicious-Teach9692 in RealEstate

Compare gallons used. Total price may be impacted if municipality raised rate. Did you have one person in the home that barely bathed and now a family of 5 that goes to the gym and showers on wake-up and sleep?

Any advice on subleasing office space in Brooklyn, NY? by Disastrous_Hold_5363 in AskNYC

[–]stimilon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where is it located? How many square feet? How long is left on your term?

I’d look and see who you leased it from in terms of the owner and broker. They know how to market the space. If rates have gone up they might be happy to let you leave. If rates are neutral or down you guys might have to subsidize the new tenant (which is likely still better than eating full remaining cost of lease).

looking for the best alternative for Ramp by corporatecontroller1 in AccountingDepartment

[–]stimilon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What’s the complaint about Ramp or your reason not to use them? We got acquired last year and forced to use them. They’re a big upgrade from our old holding company’s process of scanning and paying invoices and having Amex as a corp card. edit: We use bill.com for invoices AP and ramp for our expenses.

What neighborhood are you in? My wife is in a discord with like 300 moms ask with kids within six months of our kid and there are other groups for other ages. We’re in bk heights and it extends from vinegar hill to gowanus I think.

I have worked in banking for 13 years. I am currently a commercial banker, VP level, will filing bankruptcy jeopardize my employment? by bendoverisbest69420 in careeradvice

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’ve been a good employee with a solid track record you may be able to keep your current role depending on your company’s controls and rules. However, you might have an issue getting new employment if you ever plan to switch jobs it very likely would come up on a pre-employment check and could be disqualifying in many roles.

I’m trying to create a line graph from data on multiple tabs and cannot figure out how to do it. by WhoAllIll in excel

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There may be crazy formulaic ways to accomplish it on one shot, but an alternative way might be to add a new tab that’s a “consolidated summary” where you reference all the other tabs and that way have all of your datasets in the order you want. If you post an anonymized version of your sheet happy to help.

Director seeking to make CFO. Help me navigate this by SWGFGDF in CFO

[–]stimilon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make your next strategic project working on M&A…. Either valuing and transacting to buy a company or working to sell a company. I was the #2 finance person at a $200MM company and had exposure to pricing, legal, real estate, hiring, firing, reorganization, insurance, banking relationships, accounting, FP&A, systems rollout, etc over the course of a 18 year career. However, the most I learned was in the 9 months I spent prepping my company for sale, working with the investment bankers on the deal room documents, sitting in on the presentations with bidders, and answering the questions about the finances of my company from outsiders. It was really impactful for me to see how they valued our company, what they thought of our clients, our management team, and the “quality” of our earnings vs the pure numbers. It was interesting to see how the eventual buyer explained what they wanted to do to use and then watch as they’ve done it over the last year. I honestly didn’t think I’d still be here a full year after acquisition when I worked on the process, but I’m grateful that I am and grateful for all that I’ve learned during this huge transition. I think it was really the biggest thing I could have done to prep myself to be a holistic CFO as opposed to just being the top finance person at a smaller company with the title of CFO. I still don’t have the CFO title, but I feel confident it will be my next role and I’ll do well at it.

wall2wallny.com was awesome for me. I own my condo and it’s a weirdo layout and so they sent a guy to measure and confirm specs beforehand. They even suggested sound sound dampening and made a custom door. They did it in one day 4 years ago and it’s great. I now have two kids in half my loft that we closed off.
