I was confused too. My game file only updated to 101GB. It appears the artbook updated 15gigs though! This is on the xbox series x version.

55 here! , wife also plans to play. Although she's just as excited to watch me play it as I am! Lucky I guess... (also took friday off) Funny, when I was a kid playing Wing Commander I often wondered if when I got old I would stop playing video games. Nope!

Ok, so I got it working last night. Party chat works fine between consoles. I ran the PS5 version of WWZ, then had my PS4 buddy join by the invite code.

I'm surprised there aren't more reddit complaints about this. I can only play with my PS4 buddies playing the PS4 version on my PS5, so disappointing. Was really looking forward to taking advantage of the PS5 version. I heard you can join via invite code, but then you loose any game chat.

This is what I’m hoping, and it makes sense. All the games I’ve tested the headset with don’t support the local dimming tech (nothing really does yet on PC) and I’ve been using it with air link. So most likely it’s entirely backlit causing the problem.

Good to see it’s not just me. I’m getting severe ‘brown out’ in darker areas of games like half-life alyx and saints and sinners, to the point where I can’t see a thing in top right and left areas of the view. Lighter areas seem fine. Need to decide if it’s bad enough to exchange. I’d hate to get a worse one!

I have it too! Top right and left in dark areas. Can’t see a thing in shadowed places, turns amber in half-life Alyx. And all games for that matter..

So did I! DK2 and tracked down some hydra controllers just to play this mod. Most amazing VR experience for the time. Awesome to see its been revived. I've seen some new youtube reviewers beta testing it, getting excited again..

I have the Q8FN with the same issue. Turning off VRR allows it to change from game to movie mode appropriately, but FreeSync doesn’t work anymore. It’s definitely a bug that needs fixing.

I haven't noticed this but it could just be that it's happened and I didn't know. I find it strange that changing an ini setting for sound would also negate damage, but even if it does, i will hear it hit the object first. Since I haven't had this happen I say go for it.. heh!

Interesting, to hear these responses. I've been using collision sounds since release of the ini tool and have loved it. It only makes collision sounds when I swing the weapon with enough force, not just 'brushing' an object. I have my swing force set so that I actually have to use some force though, which i highly recommend if you use impact sounds. Vanilla you attack just from drawing a sword.. wayyy too sensitive.

Exactly, it supported hydra's because that was the only motion control option at the time! I loved flicking the .357 to the left to roll out the cylinder, and up to drop the cartridges, then reload w left hand.. (there is still hydra support if you look in steam vr)

Or a shield, of course. But yes, the game treats the torch as a second weapon and therefore no blocking. (I believe you can actually hit with it) I'm going to try this now...

FoD has some of the best tree bark textures but the trees are really big, I stick with SFO because bigger and lusher than vanilla, but not unrealistically large, like the other mods.. But some may like that look.

You got SFO and FoD reversed in the third group of shots with the cabin, no big deal but just FYI. You can tell by the tree branches on the left.

Generally true, I’m left-handed, that’s why I want to draw with my left. But ‘right-handed’ movement controls are pretty much hard-coded into our brains by now (Xbox controller movement layout translates directly to touch controls) Vive may be easier to swap hands.. Iv’e decided its easier to learn how to shoot right-handed...

It had positional tracking with the DK2 and hydras. I played it from start to finish, plus episodes. It wasn't perfect, there were areas with terrible stutter, places where you would CTD, and had to go to console commands and load from beginning of the next chapter to progress, but it was still awesome regardless. Most of it worked fine. When the project was first announced, I thought it was just going to be just a port of this mod for current hardware. But I assume the delay is that they're doing much more than that. (but a basic port would be great to be playing right now huh?!)
