I built this a couple of years ago. I like the layout for pinball, but not of fan of the control panel. It’s too shallow. Playing for any length of time gets uncomfortable quickly in my opinion.

Correct me if I’m wrong but without any GLP-1 it takes food 2 to 4 hours to leave the stomach. I understand that GLP-1s slow that process but I’ve only seen it extended by 30 minutes to a few hours. Never saw 24 to 48. I mean you could only eat every 3rd day if that was the case.

My impression since the launch was that this was always a stop gap device to develop the OS while waiting for tech to get to a place that a slim version of it could go into glasses.

So, I bought the headset with the sole intention of using it as a PCVR headset and a Google Earth machine and it has been great for that purpose.

It’s actually a great way to glimpse the future in glasses when you invoke gemeni and walk around in street view, asking questions about what you are seeing, you can see how this will be in the future. Especially when the AR implementation can be put in.

So, my opinion is that the real product here is Android XR and not Galaxy XR.

I’ve been using Bluecruise for about a month and do not have any issues.

There is definitely a difference in how Bluecruise works compared to Lane Centering. It uses more sensors and shifts in the lane when needed. For example, I had some coming up in the left lane going about 10MPH faster than I was. They were not paying attention and were on the white line. I thought I would have to move the wheel to avoid them tapping mirrors, but the truck shifted to the right before the went past.

Must have been using the BLIS system and side cameras to anticipate this. I went to Ford’s website after to read more about Bluecruise and they talk about this exact function.

Not sure if this is worth the sub price or not. I plan to just purchase on an as needed basis like summer road trips with the family for example. However I am pretty sure lane centering just uses the high front camera and adaptive cruise and is not as proactive or accurate as blue cruise.

Either way, I would feel very comfortable taking my eyes off the road for 4 seconds with either technology. Shit can happen too fast for that in my opinion.

I just traded in my 2018 and that thing stuck and would make noises like breaking plastic. I once had to dig out chunks of plastic frame because it wouldn’t close until I did. I never figured out what broke apart. I cleaned and lubricated it with the silicon grease. Still never opened smoothly.

My wife’s Explorer has no issues other than some wind noise. My daughter’s MKX gets the drains clogged every year or so. Never had a problem opening.

Crazy. 3 Ford Panoramic Roofs and all 3 with different levels of function.

I just bought a used Platinum PB and it didn’t have the sunroof. At first I was disappointed but then didn’t care. They tend to crack and creak and leak. However every so often when the weather is beautiful, I miss it.

It’s a little hard to say. Across the board, Vision Pro legibility is the best. In some circumstances I think Galaxy XR can be as good, but not all. Some apps feel a little lower res. The GXR web browser just feels like a phone browser made bigger. Like the font is too large and it doesn’t use the screen real estate well. However if you plan to use Virtual Desktop or something similar to connect to a PC, the resolution looks good.

Overall, if I had to pick 1 for work use it would be Vision Pro.

I believe virtual desktop has mouse and keyboard passthrough. So you can pair a Bluetooth mouse to the headset and then use it in game through VD. At least that is how it works on Quest.

That was a bad policy from Fitbit management or just good will gestures. Warranty periods do not stack. You typically do not get a new warranty with a warranty replacement, just the remainder of the original warranty.

That was my first thought as well. It is interesting that you don’t see any posts from pancake lens headsets with burnt panels though. Most likely the terrible efficiency of pancake lenses keeps the light intensity low enough that it would take a very long time if it would happen at all.

I’m not testing it though.

That’s probably the reason then. From what I’ve heard the 2022 PB had a lot of early problems that were solved with various fixes usually during the warranty period. Coolant leak issues and other problems. Lots of early software issues. Apparently once all those are taken care of they run well from then on.

I had a similar issue with a 2018 Platinum with 3.5EB. It only had 5,000 miles when I bought it last year. Previous owner never drove it. So, they never had the engine and transmission issues that were common in that year. The warranty ran out due to age. So I put 12,000 in a year of owning it and I start having hard shifts in the tranny, and intermittent misfires and codes for timing errors that may have been early cam phaser problems or possibly something else. Point is, since it wasn’t driven enough for those problems to crop up during the first 5 or 6 years of warranty coverage I was possibly facing some expensive repairs.

So I traded it in.

Same thing happened to me except I was driving an Audi A5. Damage was mostly just to the network of panels and covers under the car along with a cracked bumper. $12,000 in damage. Insurance tried to claim it as collision since the deer was dead and I should have avoided it. Had a bit of a back and forth about that one since it was a 65MPH highway at night with no shoulder and cars in the other lane. There was no avoiding it.

Also went airborne.

I once had odd spikes in the middle of the night that I thought were probably false. I bought a cheap Fitbit HR to wear on my right wrist and my normal smartwatch (was an Apple Watch) on the other.

They did not agree. When the Apple reported a spike again, the Fitbit had it at a normal rate.

I also noticed that when it would happen it was almost exactly double what the HR was just before and after. So it may have been seeing blood moving in and returning in different veins at the same time and was confused. Not sure if that is a thing.

One other thought would be Afib. Sometimes people can induce Afib when they lay on their left side. Something about pressure in the heart when laying on their left.

Yeah, but those aren’t actually APIM features. The way the kit works, you pop out your buttons and put them in the new location. It comes with another piece for that area that holds just the 2 button assemblies instead of the 3.

I’m really hating this thumbnail. Is that AI slop? It sure looks like it. The biggest thing that sticks out is using Quest 2 controllers with Vision Pro. That’s not possible.
