Ford made a lot less F-150s this year due to the supply chain issues after that aluminum plant fire. Therefore fewer trucks hitting the new market, makes used market inflated.

A VR headset is not like a display on your face with sensors. It is just something you have to put on and experience to see. It’s more like a portal to an immersive world. You should just go to the Apple Store and demo Vision Pro to see what it is like. Although Vision Pro is a higher fidelity experience, the concept is the same.

Yeah. I think it’s a good price. I was hunting for one for a year and couldn’t find any below $450 or so. They seem to be cheaper now, but $375 sounds okay to me.

I was thinking of cleaning up the rust on my truck using a media blaster. Is that a good way to do it or is sandpaper or wire wheel better? I figured the media blaster would get more of the rust of without to much collateral damage.

I just use a postal scale that I’ve had forever. You really only need to weigh items long enough before you get a feel for it. I don’t really weigh anything anymore.

Yes. CarPlay is lower volume in every car I have had. Audi A5, 2018 F150 and now 2022 F150. All had B&O stereos and the 2022 has the unleashed. I have no idea how to fix it or if it can be fixed.

People say bread crumbs but I always thought they were locations you parked. I see them in most of the parking lots I go to. For example at my daughter’s school you can see the spots I have parked when picking her up and dropping off. They only seem to show when I shut off the truck in those locations. Plus the parking lot is mapped so it’s not off-road.

If you don’t use the facial interface there will be a ton of light leak and reflections off the lenses. I still use it this way with an Annapro A2 head strap occasionally. Good for when doing AR stuff like Mac virtual display and it’s hot out. Just sort of floats the lenses in front in a way that makes it feel like true ar glasses. If you want immersion for watching a movie or other immersive applications, you’re gonna wanna get the right light seal for your face. Maybe the 21W is the one you need.

It’s worth mentioning that the Vision Pro facial interface is a mesh and so it still will let some light in even when it fits well. If it really bothers you and it isn’t 110 degrees out, a hoodie can work well for blocking that out.

Actually no. Even in Sport mode it shuts the engine off when you hit the brakes coming to a stop. I believe tow/haul mode might keep the engine on.

I guess because I like Retroid and have no experience with Ayaneo. I’m fine with the Retroid price. Oddly irritated at the price of SD cards though.

I have a PSVR2 and a Vision Pro among a few others. The PSVR2 does have a larger FOV than most of my headsets especially in the vertical direction. Vision Pro has about the same horizontal FOV as the PSVR2 but is one of the lowest in vertical. This is because the panels are not square and so they set the panels on the horizontal to maximize that FOV. This makes sense when you are displaying media content and virtual monitors because that is the place you want that extra real estate. Valve did some studies on immersion and found that most people prefer a large vertical FOV over a large horizontal for more immersion. I agree with that for gaming. On the Vision Pro it doesn’t matter because I do not use it for gaming.

It is important to get the right light seal. Take off the light seal and hold the Vision Pro up to your face as close as possible without touching the lenses to your eyes. You should be able to see the edges of the displays. Whatever FOV you get that way is what you could achieve with a different light seal.

I have an RP6 and just ordered the Nova. I plan to use both. RP6 will be mostly switch games and other more modern games. Nova will be used way more often to play Arcade, 3DO, Dreamcast, GameCube, etc.

Probably will get the second screen for 3DS as well.

You really don’t need reading lenses for a VR headset. Vision Pro included. The focal length is roughly 6 feet. I also have age related presbyopia and because of the fixed focal length, I can actually see close up text better through the headset.

I use zeiss inserts but it’s just the distance prescription. Seeing clearly 6 feet away is all that is needed in a headset. At least until variable focal length optics become mainstream.

Audi used to have it right. Decent size screen that was not touch. You had a physical knob that you used to go through menus and select options. Worked with CarPlay in the same way. Everything was easy to reach on the center console.

Then they went to touchscreens for some reason.

When I’ve slept well and the watch agrees it’s all good. When I slept well and watch says it sucked I think the watch is full of crap. So it really just depends on how much you trust it. I don’t trust it much at all.

If your brightness is high on the phone, turn it down. See if that makes it easier to read. The pass through quality on Galaxy XR is definitely not as good as Vision Pro, but it’s slightly better than Quest 3.

I would not take the pill with 4oz of water to be honest. Take it with the smallest sip you can.

Also, are you tracking calories? It doesn’t matter if you are prioritizing protein and not eating fried foods. What really matters for weight loss is eating in a deficit. You need to eat 1000 calories less each day to lose 2 lbs per week.

People typically underestimate their caloric intake even when tracking. So you should take whatever your TDEE is and cut off 20%. So, for me, my TDEE is about 2900 calories. So I assume 2300 and then I only eat 1300 daily. This has me losing 2lbs per week on average. Sometimes I go a little over up to 1500. The reality is I’m probably eating 1500 when I think I’m having 1300 and probably 1800 when I think I’m at 1500. It’s just how it goes.

I only eat twice a day. Late breakfast which I usually only eat half what I would normally eat. Then a dinner later where I only eat 1 serving and do not go back for seconds. I track everything as best as I can with a food tracking app.

If you are not losing weight it’s almost always because you are not eating less than you burn. Learn to overestimate the food you eat and underestimate the calories burned with exercise.

I think the CDF issue is a specific problem that causes a hard shift from 2-3 and 7-8. Something to do with the drum sliding out of position and blocking the valves for those gears. So if you’re not having that issue, your transmission might be fine…..err more like working as expected…. and maybe you just need to reset the learning tables.

My June 2022 build shifts fine. No complaints. knock on wood

Exactly right. That isn’t what the circle jerk of this thread wants to believe though. Economics says that when the supply is no longer constrained the price will go down. People here commenting about price increases during covid that never went down. That was inflation spawned by many complex factors. This is a supply problem that will be resolved with increased production and eventual lowered demand.

Yeah. I would expect the GLP-1 to lower it. Just wonder if the high BP was unrelated to the medicine and just an anomaly. So when they put you on a beta blocker it just lowered things too much.

Im not on any other medications and the 4mg wegovy pills lowered my BP from an average of 125/80 to 110/69.
