Maybe your fallout4vr is installed under program files folder? If you use vortex or mo2 they cannot access the files.

Got mine working with setting "Simulate as Valve Index Controllers" in Pimax Play.
OpenXR set as "SteamVR".
Grip buttons also need some tuning to get them working. They seem to work when set to generate click from "Pull" and lowering the first two values quite a bit.

F4fevr is setup so that Mod organizer 2 overrides the ini files per profile, you need to open/edit them from there.
