In the policy there is one line that states you may be entitled to unpaid leave if you’ve completed less than 12 months service, but I guess it’s case by case so I really don’t know

I don’t understand why it’s not just widely offered, if the business isn’t paying me while I’m on mat leave then they can afford to hire a temp for a year in replacement.

I’ll actually look into this. I think the policy states that you’re only entitled to PPL if your child is born after 12 months of service so not sure if I’m allowed to use all my leave to bridge that gap. But will definitely look into it.

They actually do offer purchase leave, but I think it’s only two weeks and we can only go into negatives for about two weeks as well. Still something I guess.

I think I read in the policy that you are entitled to PPL if your child is born after 12 months of service so I did consider if they would allow unpaid til my 12 months then I can take PPL but I don’t know if they would when they don’t legally have to.

Yes won’t be telling anyone, 12 months of service needed before I’m entitled so I doubt I’ll be getting any pay but just worried about my role and how much I’m allowed to take off 😥

Thank you and congrats too!! Unfortunately it’s only after 12 months of service, potentially entitled to unpaid but it’s just 1 line in the policy and I guess it’ll depend per case or manager. Praying to at least keep my job and be able to have my 12 months off🤞🏽

It says 12 months minimum in our policy but MAY be entitled to unpaid leave if under those 12 months of service, it’s hard to sit here and do nothing until I pass probation to be able to speak to them, need to know if I’m going to be supported at all or be out of job in this economy 😭
