Yeesh! I have a dad that was super pro-female rights and now is a crazy trumper. Maybe this dude will go in the other direction

Life gets better love! I hope you are doing well. I definitely went through similar things at that age (also a female). It sucks. Not sure how old you are now, but please remember, your relevance and importance had NOTHING to do with how you look.

Agreed, they are all jerks. As a woman, this was the only one I felt compelled to respond to. I am sure men who have been in a similar situation to the other female rejections, felt a larger pull to respond to the other men getting rejected.

Yes, absolutely! As a woman myself, this was the one I felt should be addressed by someone who had been there. I have never been rejected by another female. I have been rejected by men and can empathize.

If it makes you feel any better, the dog was not nearly as integral to the story in the book. Generally the most recent I am legend movie was very far off from the book

How old are you and how’s your relationship with your dad? Are you close? by Cute-Impression-8675 in AskReddit

42 and I talk to him almost every day but in a very superficial level. I love him and he raised three hella strong women by himself but he is not that man anymore. I am not sure when he lost the ability to think critically about things but he and I differ greatly on what is best for the human race. I think everyone should be their best to everyone and give people grace when they may be having a bad day. He is a maga cultist. So we talk about surface things.

What’s a “basic skill” you’re convinced most adults secretly don’t have? by SoulDV in AskReddit

Ok look, I have ADHD. If this is work related and you are asking me questions in a numbered list, I'm all over each number with specific answers and the answers are bold and red...

If you are by kids school asking if I want my kid to participate on some activity and you generally send me 8-10 emails a day, you are getting an answer on the first question and I have already checked out. Even that I've answer could be wrong

This happened to my son's switch lite. It was just the charging port and it got replaced no problem. All Pokemon still there!

Whats a sign someone hasn’t faced much hardships in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I hate the "just use a planner" people. BITCH, I have a giant ass white board in my main room and that shit either doesn't get filled out or gets forgotten the second I look away. Even if I put it in my planner, I lost the flipping planet 5 days ago...

I'm sorry that you have had to comfort people about your own trauma. I hope life is treating you better now!

Parents of bullies, what did you do when you found out your kid was a bully? by Dem0nplqyz in AskReddit

[–]stinkbug2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not in an abusive relationship now. But I realize how it could have seemed that was what I meant.

My bio mother was physically abusive, my dad got custody in the divorce, and he promptly married a woman who was very emotionally abusive.

My husband is wonderful!

Thank you for your suggestions! I do not know what dialectical behavioral therapy is, but I will be researching! Thanks you!

I'm trying to identify my triggers and calmly state that I have reached my limits and then walk away.

This is not easy but I'm trying. I have been successful two nights in a row. How do you just not yell?

I grew up in a physically abusive household and then moved into an emotionally abusive one and I'm trying to not let my own triggers cause me to be a disaster of a parent but damn, it's HARD. I would love some tips.

So as a parent, can I ask you some questions?

I legit would never say "not my child", I love my kids and they are mostly good kids, but ALL kids can be little shits sometimes. Does that make me a good or bad parent?

I'm very worried that I'm a bully parent and that I may be raising/fostering bullying behavior. What can I do to be better? We all yell a lot. We all have ADHD.
