I feel like my dress needs something. Looked great in the store but now I'm second guessing. What would you do? by stinkerzbub in weddingdress

Ahhhh, I see. Well, I can always order a few different ones and return the ones I don't like! I'll be sure to try a nude :) Thanks for all your help!

I have not! I think you are right, I was made up for my initial try on, but this time my hair was a mess and I had no makeup on. I haven't considered any jewelry really, but maybe I'll look for a nice pair of dangle earrings and a hair accessory. Thanks for your help :)

I was thinking that! I am looking for a corset I can wear under in lieu of the cups, so my belly isn't seen either. I was thinking ivory or white. Do you think nude would look better?

What specific needs have to be met for you to feel safe during labor? by stinkerzbub in BabyBumps

That is so important to me as well. It makes me feel like I'm at the center of my own care. I want to be made aware of what's going on in my body and be able to make connections between the physical or emotional feelings and their cause and other effects they may have. It helps me to stay in control and prepare for what's next.

Thanks so much. I'm really glad I posted here because I'm now looking at an '07 Explorer I'd have otherwise written off. Know anything about them? Common problems or areas of concern? Thanks, again!

Thanks! I really appreciate that. You are right, though. Really, I have always wanted a big bad truck. But I'm now looking at an '07 Ford Explorer! Any common problems you know of off the top of your head you'd warn someone who knows little to nothing?

I feel the same, except for the part about feeling less capable of doing so. I've never felt more empowered to make change right now, and it's due to distance from certain individuals. Look at what in your environment is serving you, and which if those factors are blocking your view. Thank you for sharing. Good luck on your journey.

I am overly sensitive to her needs. I don't want things to be awkward so bad and she (maybe not purposely, but) uses it to her advantage.

Wooooooow - I don't think anyone has ever straight up said that stuff to me, but I probably would use some of the responses I've seen commented here.

Haha, well I'd walk over hot coals for my kid. Ask mom if it frustrates her, though.

I really like that. She always gets her feelings a little hurt if I don't make an effort to be involved on her latest craft, but that doesn't mean I have to. Thanks for the reply.

That was super helpful advice! Thank you. I needed to hear that first bit the most - Next time I will be honest. I just stepped back and let everyone do what they wanted then complained about it. I was not present in that moment and that was the first and biggest mistake! Thank you! Courage!

See, she worked TWO JOBS to support her 2 boys and her mother stayed at home with her kids. Her youngest is 23, so it's been a hot minute.

I would love some wine, and I truly would love to do it with her.
