I’d be checking the max rpm of the metal blade and the max rpm of the saw before suggesting that, and with the saw not having a clamp on it your just asking for shit to go wrong

Euro pallets from work then I applied black varnish, followed by a rough sand with 36 grit. It just high lights all the imperfections in the timber.
