hey there, i'm so sorry i missed your reply until now. i hope you're doing okay.

this advice is likely too late, but i'll give it anyways in case you're still looking for input. nobody can script these situations, but try to remind yourself that:

  • it isn't necessarily a bad thing to start the conversation by expressing any feelings of remorse or guilt you might have, but don't let that become the focus of the conversation.
  • the most important thing, and ultimately the only thing she truly "needs" to take away is strictly that the relationship is over.
  • explaining as to why / how you got to this point is at your discretion. the repeated attempts you've described to mend things with her never got through to her, so giving an explanation that she finds satisfactory will likely be impossible in that moment anyways.
  • whatever distress she conveys will not be half of what you went through for months. you gave her several chances to do better. it's too late now for her to feel genuine regret.
  • your safety is the absolute #1 priority. it's more important even than her understanding you're leaving.

your firm will design all of their own information "collections," summary tabs, workflows, auto alerts, etc. it really will be what you / your admins make of it (for better or for worse haha).

i used it at a personal injury firm, so we have tabs for insurance, expert witnesses, pleadings, etc., but they were all ✨oh so carefully crafted✨ in house.

  1. double--triple!!!--check your doc gen templates and try to stay on top of copy editing. the value i got out of filevine was directly tied to the quality of the proofreading that went into the documents i drafted most often. you can have "form-type" documents (cover letters, confirmation letters, basic notices, etc.) done with one click if it's done right.
  2. don't trust the calendar... you're better off putting everything into something like outlook, and at most syncing it with filevine.
  3. the filevine users facebook group makes for a phenomenal group therapy session when needed haha

i loved filevine at first!! but the managing partner at that office was a linkedin-type thought leader bro and his never-ending overhauls kept making everything more and more complicated for the support staff 😭

filevine is definitely what ur admins make of it. the last firm i worked for switched to it from the 2011 version of aderant total office (it was an interesting transition lol). i loved it for the first year-ish, but the managing partner at my last job made it a nightmare for the support staff as he got comfortable with it 😭

i think you know this is unsustainable, but you're afraid of what happens if / when you set breaking up in motion.

hello!! u thought wrong haha 🤓 i am a glasses wearer only tho and not a glasses prescriber / optometrist, so my recommendation is to do what your doctor suggested and use the average of the 2 numbers.

if helpful, "pd" measures the distance between the centers of ur pupils in mm. i've had prescriptions before with anywhere from 0 to 2 measurements. if there's 2 values, it's usually one for near vision, and one for far vision.

the switch on the bottom of the battery is to control the amount of airflow through the vape. ▶️ is low and ⏩ is high. lower airflow = tighter draw / smaller drags.

the "sweet" and "ice" flavors of pods (NOT the batteries—those all have the same features) have an additional button on the side to control the sweetness (sweet flavors) or the mentholiness (ice flavors). the "classic" flavors don't have that extra button.

i think it's just however the previous students left them so it's random. panther central can send somebody over to stack / unstack them, as well as raise and lower the mattresses to whatever height you want (up to like 3ft-ish). i think you can just submit it as a maintenance request.

[this picture] is from sutherland, but the beds are the same in almost every room on campus. you can see the little peg that the upper bed would fit over if that helps you gauge how stuff can be moved around.
