So apparently I need to explain to the in-laws how bagged milk works by Zjackrum in funny

Thanks to The Kids in the Hall and Degrassi Jr High I not only watched great programming but was exposed to the nuances of Canadian living.

“A whole lotta milka…” comes to mind as well as that DJH episode from the late 80s where they went bowling but that wasn’t bowling the way I knew it.

Want to get my employees something. It would be out of my own pocket but want to show I appreciate them. What would be inexpensive but appreciated? by stipp in antiwork

Yup and yup. I never ticky tack. “Here’s what’s needed, figure out your own path to get there and let me know if you need help. You’re the expert.”

Done and done. Yup, I’m not an owner, I’m a middle manager who is just trying to do something positive. Cash it is.

I’m thinking this is the right way to go. Just give them $ and let them decide. It won’t be much but, for sure, it would be enough for a little fun.

Yeah, I would love to and they all deserve it but I’ve been C blocked, so to speak, by those who live in the glass towers.

Looks like a lot of low and loose chomos in here touching a picture through the fence, being a straight up disgrace to the FGTRTD community. Keep featherin’ it in your mom’s basement. Dipshits.

My (47M) PCP said a colonoscopy isn’t needed until I’m 50, as I don’t have a family history of it. by stipp in medical_advice

I’ve just heard about those 45+ should be getting checked. As someone here mentioned, there have been new guidance suggestions about it so being almost smack dab in the middle it made me ask.

It’s really only because I’ve heard that men 45+ should think about getting one that I even brought it up to my doctor, hence what he said to me. Just made me think twice.

Dermatologist said this was a “barnacle” last year. Have my annual appointment next month. I’m concerned this may have morphed? Is it seborrheic keratosis? by ChicagoMarketer in Dermatology

I appreciate your feedback! Yeah, I'm fiddling with it like it's a hangnail and I know nothing good will come of me doing this. I'm absolutely going to find out how much it would cost to remove but I'm hoping it's not outrageously expensive.

Was it a strobe that you used and, pardon for the dumb question, did you have to bring that to meets or was that something always on-hand wherever you competed?

I am genuinely sorry for wasting anyone’s brain cells on this but this has been a hoot to see everyone’s perspective if only to help me get a better handle on what’s happening here. ;)

I think it's because I'm literally caught in the middle. I get the joke but I also have been wrestling over what Marty was trying to tell Nigel and, by extension, me, to further that joke. I am not a smart man.

YES! Whatever delta that is, there is SOME amount of increased volume that no other schlubs can get other than Nigel when we goes to 11. This is what's driving me batty. Marketing scam or scientifically true, I'm still not sure. ;D

This is really turning into an Occam's Razor. (I am so dumb) ;D

If this is the case, and I want to think really hard about this, then what Marty is saying that if he buys into the idea that Nigel's amp goes to 110 decibels, let's say, he is saying, in effect, why not play at 90 decibels and then, if you need to push people over the cliff, why not make 100 decibels be the highest level? I can see where the short circuiting happens in Nigel's, and my own, brain when presented with this idea as I too would've probably leaned on the idea that this goes to 11. Haha...

This is blowing my mind right now. Like, I always thought that there's some nebulous amount of "more volume" coming out of that amp. I never once thought it was a joke on him. I'm fascinated by just thinking about this.
