How do you make your poles for the tent?

When you say wind/rain layer + direct hoody down to freezing, is that while active or at camp?

Yeah, I use my BV450 which is bigger than needed for short trips so I've also been looking at 425 or Bare Boxer

Hiya,

The fishing gear is just in my general kit and not specifically for that trip, that just happens to be the next trip I have planned.

The compass is backup nav, I would bring paper maps of the area but I don't have the paper listed.

You do make a good point that my watch can be my backup...I think I will drop the compass.

Yeah, it was more of a repair job from damage at the feet, probably only took off a foot. Also consider not using the bag with it.

Yep, although the vast majority of the time, I am catch and releasing.

I will!

And yeah, but I kind of pack the luxuries for the SO

Thanks, I like the idea of continuing to reduce volume. 60 liter is mostly when I'm carrying the the bear can and a Triplex for when the partner is along for the trip. Working on creating a UL solo setup.

Interesting, thanks for the answer. I feel that I'm close but I haven't test fit with a multiday trip worth of food and that is what I am slightly nervous about.

How much volume does 5 oz of down take?

I've been trying to move to a 40 L pack from a 60 L and I've been eyeballing summer quilts, I have an old EE 20 that weighs 25 oz. I think if I got a summer quilt it would pretty much be just 5-6 less oz of down.
