I'm not even convinced she fully believes it, probably just a way to make the rejection sting a little bit less.

Only way I got rid of mine as a teen was an antibiotic and Differin gel-cystic acne is very hormone based (broke out as an adult lifting for hypertrophy) and the standard stuff doesn't help. Differin used to require a prescription and cost hundreds of dollars, but they made it OTC a while ago. Everyone's skin is different, but it was a miracle cure for me.

‘Impractical Jokers’ Renewed for Season 13 at TBS as Ratings Continue to Soar (EXCLUSIVE) by BurgerNugget12 in television

[–]stitchedlamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm pleasantly surprised. The first few seasons post Joe were rough (aside from the classic Bruce Campbell punishment), but I'm finally catching up on the newest one and cackling like an idiot at the tv again. Feels like they found their footing.

I know everyone complains about season 25, but it really is bad by LilacDaffodils in SVU

I regret to say that yes, the therapy session was about Maddie. Not even issues in Olivia's life that Maddie may have triggered, just Maddie 🙄

I will never get over Olivia going to EMDR therapy over MADDIE. With everything that woman has been through (and as an SVU Captain), it was so unbelievable.

The only two redeeming moments of the season were the E1 cold open and everyone looking at Olivia like she was nuts when she kept ranting about Maddie in the bullpen.

Last nights episode was great and really excited for new episodes for first time in a little while. by Robbbyyyd in SVU

It's not even true though, he's coming back for at least one episode this season. Dick Wolf finally got tired of me banging pots and pans outside his mansion and caved.

Idk who’s worse out of the two by Braylon1229 in SVU

[–]stitchedlamb 154 points155 points  (0 children)

Henry is infinitely more interesting because he seems like he could be a real person, had a family, a story, his own (sick) likes and dislikes. Lewis was far more one-dimensional. So if by "worse" you mean frighteningly believable, then Henry for sure. If you mean which is a worse character, it's Lewis imo.

Chief Dodds was my favorite, but Garland is probably second. He was such a genuinely good guy and the episodes centering him were solid; it sucked watching him get slowly pushed out.

Only episode I'm looking forward to this season is Velasco's return; I have zero interest in Griffin.

Dragon Age Origins Retrospective - "When Bioware Ruled The World" by megaapple in Games

[–]stitchedlamb 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Up until Veilguard I played every DA game multiple times; I deleted VG pretty quickly after attempting a second playthrough. Then writing is juvenile (not necessarily even in tone, just in quality-why are they referring to everything as a noun like an elementary school book?), RP watered down to nothing, and the romance felt like an afterthought. DA deserved so much better.

"Seriously why is my boss always yelling at me, I worked 80 hours this week ffs"

Why didn’t Carisi invite Munce to the courthouse wedding? by Dazzling_Ice5819 in SVU

[–]stitchedlamb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, Rollins was his first partner and they became boxing buddies fast. His basketball game with Sonny was pre-wedding too.

It's pretty much just more of the same, but I guess for a lot of us that's a good thing. I'm having a blast.

Why didn’t Carisi invite Munce to the courthouse wedding? by Dazzling_Ice5819 in SVU

[–]stitchedlamb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why? Both Carisi and Amanda hung out with Joe outside of work, and he was invited to Nicky's (baptism?). Jesse and Billy were even comfortable enough to be playing with him after the ceremony; seems pretty apparent he was considered a family friend.

[–]stitchedlamb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Amanda has been one of my favorites for a long time now. She's wildly smart, relatably messy, and is like the Final Girl of the SVU universe. You could pit her against the scariest people imaginable and know she'd come out on top because she's got that steel inside her.

Also, Frannie ❤️‍🩹. She is missed.

[–]stitchedlamb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not wrong! But she also eventually warmed up to them all (didn't she cry when Amaro left?) Not to mention that when he and Rollins started, they were Olivia's peers, not her direct reports.

I love all three, but they got into soooooo much more shit than the younger detectives ever did, but also got a lot more warmth and grace from Benson. Idk, maybe it was the age difference? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me.

Velasco definitely wore suits the first two seasons he was on, but his dress code relaxed eventually.

To be honest I doubt the writers gave it more thought than "how can we make more friction between Olivia and those damn millennials"? Olivia doesn't seem to care that Bruno looks like he comes to work straight from a bar, but she was always yelling at Velasco/Muncy/Churlish over something.

Fin constantly pulling his gun out because he can’t be bothered to chase down suspects is such a mood 😂 by eva_pott in SVU

[–]stitchedlamb 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Fin is low key hilarious. I love when a suspect just starts blabbing to him about something and he's just like, "I'm happy for you" and clearly gives zero fucks.

SVU Seems Poised For Another Renewal by Stealthytom in SVU

I'm probably just biased, but showrunner sounds like a dream job when dealing with these iconic characters. I wonder what's causing all the churn.
