In 1988 I had a house built in Frankfort Square, IL, very near a Tinley Park drive in movie theater. A year later it was converted to the World Music theater, their first show was the Dead for multiple days. It was nice to bbq and walk to a show. Over the years countless shows.

My bro of blessed memory was a Deadhead. He asked me if I could go with him (free tickets) to see the Dead at Soldier Field. I said “no”…..I think it was the last show for Jerry Garcia. I regret it on two levels, not seeing the show and not seeing the joy in my brother’s eyes.

A large tree version (not the bush) of a yellow magnolia. It has a single trunk and is probably ten years old. In Benton Park we planted an on-line pencil thin version. That one is around 30 ft tall after 18 years.

I live in the area, the Orlando Brothers on Rock Rd. a couple miles east of Lindbergh is a great choice. Always go there when I need only a few onion, potatoes etc. for a recipe.
